I adore this song. I see a lot of comments that they would have this as their wedding song. Don’t know if anyone else agrees but i’ve always imagined having this as my funeral song. It just seems such a beautiful piece of music to have for a sending off. Being carried out the church whilst people walk out behind one by one. Always makes me emotional thinking about it. (Not that I plan on dying anytime soon obviously)

I think Noel and Liam both have romantic and kind souls. They’ve just been abused their entire life. Verbally and physically growing up. I did it when the classroom was empty and nobody could see me. He never discovered I was the one who wrote it for him. And probably, if he had discovered, nothing would have happened because I clearly knew he didn’t like me. He told my friend that he found me ugly. But now, some years later, this memory (linked to this amazing song) still touches me deeply. And I still think about him. He was such a good person after all. The only one in my classroom who was kind to me and didn’t bully me. I was so lonely and sad, marginalized by my peers, but he was different.
