Just discovered this song thanks to The Umbrella Academy, and I love it so much already. I've never been an Oasis fan other than Stop Crying Your Heart Out, and this song reminded me of that one as soon as I heard it - and then I find out it's by one of the guys who did that one! I can get lost in lush, dreamy songs like this one forever...

Noel Gallagher's songwriting process for this song: Noel: Hey Chat GPT, write me a song in the style of Pink Floyd but within my vocal range (he then chokes out a few bars of Silent Night). Chat GPT: Hey Noel, how about this? I called it: Dead To The World (kind of like those notes you sang to me). I'm kidding, ok! That was actually a really good track. I do get small Pink Floyd vibes, but the vocals and the melody lines were fantastic. I will have to be careful about watching too many of the Gallagher brothers' songs, I might end up having to buy an album or two. This was a ripper.

Wow! I loved this. I really like Noel's post Oasis career. Also really like Oasis. Fun fact: I was at the semi-famous Melbourne Oasis concert. They had a MAJOR spat on stage. Noel cracked it and stormed off for about 20 mins (could have been longer). We all thought it was staged. Nope. It was for realsies. Backstage, he was threatening to quit then and there. The two of them had been at it all day. When he came back, he was electric and the concert went to another level. That bickering produced extraordinary performances. I hate the 'hate on Oasis' thing happening at the moment. They produced really great music. Noel is a twat, but a ridiculously talented one. This is one of many gorgeous songs this man has written and performed. I love Easy Now. Yeah, gonna listen to Noel today. A Noel week would be amazing!

I’m 49yrs so love 80’s and 90’s how about now you two are over in California you do a few reactions/ comments on big British bands that did manage to cross the pond and also why others didn’t. Would be interesting as I’m now a Manc living in Australia and find it interesting that big bands im used to are just one hit wonders over here

its about liam. his brother. note the french accordian piece. they broke up in paris. liam is super popular and noels stock has fallen. he cant do the big gigs. he's broke up with his wife. noel is a genius, nut a narcissist. Liam had nothing for years and there was no contact. saying no more. i love them both

@@TheThamesmen Interesting as I'm a big fan of the british invasion and the big rock bands. finding you can undertand and appreciate many songs but a lot are also not a genre you would like enough to invest in an album. In my case they are more suited for radio play.
