There was a lady at Technics Organ store in Alimall Cubao that played this music complete and right on each note. That's why I knew and fell in love to this music. She is awesome, I was just a kid then. Maybe you have heard her play too.

OMG, East St. Louis is my hometown as well! This is so random...but I love it! I grew up on 12th & Bond...the projects. At 12 or 13 y/o my dad moved us to Springfield Illinois. But I still call E.St.L home...always will. Great to meet hometown family. Stay safe-Stay healthy. Peace friends.🌷

@Patricia Washington BTW, I soooo remember St. Teresa's Academy...B/c across the street was "Pirtle's Confectionery Store" Pirtle's had the best ice cream on the planet! Mr. Pirtle would dip & put a "half pint" of ice cream on a sm/med cone...And dang-near a "pint" of ice cream on a large cone.🤣 My favorite flavors were: a scoop of chocolate on the bottom & a scoop of butter pecan on top...OMG, I can still taste it to this day!🤣 Anyway, so glad to share with ya. My hometown too. Attended Washington grade school, & Hughes Quinn Jr. High...Left the city for Springfield Illinois in high school. But East St. Louis will always be home. Peace friend.🌷

Did anyone from East St. Louis attend the "1st (Annual) Family Fun Festival" at Jones park this weekend? Was unable to attend, but my relatives (who did) attend, say it was a beautiful event. Noel Pointer!!! This is my dude from back in the day. Saw him quite a few times LIVE!!! My claim to fame is while in concert at Blues Alley in DC. He stepped on my foot while coming off stage to play in the audience. He told everyone I had big feet...LOL He's also related to Milira. Another great artist from back in the day. Check her!
