NOFX - The Malachi Crunch - Drum Cover

Drum cover of the song The Malachi Crunch by NOFX, from the album Ribbed from 1991. I would put this song on a list of the best closing songs of punk albums. This song is simply fantastic. The intro starting with guitar and bass is very original, then the octave of Melvin's guitar comes in and then Smely on the drums doing sixteenth notes on the hi-hat, and then the song comes in, which is a blast. The breakdown is another work of art, which gave me a really hard time understanding what Smely created there. Can't say that it's difficult (and it isn't), but it's something that doesn't have a pattern and fits perfectly with the strings. I say it again and again: Smely is a very underrated drummer. The copyrights belong to the band.

Cover de batera da música The Malachi Crunch do NOFX, do album Ribbed de 1991. Essa música eu colocaria numa lista das melhores musicas de encerramento de albuns punks. Essa música é simplesmente fantastica. A intro começando com guitarra e baixo é bem original, depois entrando o oitavado da guitarra do Melvin e depois o Smely na batera fazendo semicolcheias no hi-hat, pra depois entrar a música que é uma porrada. O breakdown dela é outra obra de arte, que me deu um trabalho fudido de entender o que o Smely criou ali. Não que seja difícil (e não é), mas é algo que não tem um padrão e encaixa perfeito com as cordas. Digo e repito: Smely é um baterista muito subestimado. Os direitos autorais pertencem a banda.
