Per the CEO rail link still being planned . Should have been planned together with airport and finished with the airport. Otherwise , it will cause another wave construction and resulting disruptions from barricades etc..

It's a back up option. I think for the first 5 to 10 years, it will have only a few flights. Delhi airport is being expanded to 140 million, currently it is 73 million.

Totally a failure of Planning and implementing. There is no major airport North to Delhi. Center Government is just playing with the people of country. Where other countries try to keep their Capital as open as possible, Indian Government just makes Delhi a Jail day by day. They knows that how People of Punjab and Haryana have to travel and cross the whole Delhi just to catch the flight, still they did nothing. Chandigarh Airport is just a toy and still under the Custom Airport category. Amritsar Airport is another blunder when it comes to the location as one have to travel the whole Punjab state to catch a flight from there. They are working on Ludhiana International Airport which again shares its land with Air Force which makes it partially independent. Don't just blame the Past government or the Present one, because their planners are all same and nothing have changed. Delhi Government and Central Government just blame each other when it comes to the Environment or Density but none of them have actually done anything to decongest NCR.
