Last year Noisey host Poet went to Blackpool to meet Soph Aspin, Little T and Afghan Dan, the unlikely key players, of an online grime scene in the sleepy seaside town.
Poet travels back to Blackpool one year on, to find out how the success of the first film has impacted on their lives and meets some of the new MCs in the scene.

These three have all succeeded no matter what anyone says. Great Doc. It's an interesting dynamic. I struggle with the mother who keeps telling everyone to remember that he's a kid when he's rapping about rape and sex and using such profanities. If he acts like a kid they'll treat him so, if he doesn't then he needs to be able to handle what comes back at him.

I don't know how different I would have been if I'd been them. I wish their lives were less dark, but it's how the country is in some places. If it appears the way you have to act to survive is to be a thug (or appear to be), what are you going to do? - The bad things are obvious, but the good thing is that these people actually have a voice, unlike places like south Cornwall's Corrnish Grime Movement on the SEECH17 KZbin channel. Those folks (CGM) have been going since '08 at least, but I suspect few have heard of them. At least grime is bringing Britain's perspectives together, unlike any other genre I've heard of.
