Ngl, that tooth customization alone makes me want to get the game. & that creepy looking cat thing's Japanese voice sounds way way better/ less annoying than it's English one. Never played a Monster Hunter but the art-style & the fact that it's turned based make it much more likely I'll get it one day 🙃. Downloaded the demo skipped all cutscenes & did the 1st battle on both my Lite & normal Switch. After it's last scheduled update I'll pick it up for my Lite for sure ...👀. Still don't know when I'll play it but that tooth deserves everyone's respect 🫂.

The only review I have seen that went out of the comfort zone and gave this game a well deserved 9 instead of an 8. To each his own, those reviewers might actually think it's worthy of an 8, but I can't help but feel that some are holding back because of the Pokemon Sword and Shield reception. Great review!

I got it on 3DS first and really enjoyed it, but when I saw it was on mobile with enhanced visuals I decided to jump on that. I actually just plowed through it the past week or so to get ready for this sequel and maaaaaan was it awesome. A very great game on its own, and this sequel looks like it’s only improving on a fantastic game. I highly recommend it. I’m not usually one for mobile games, but this one played incredibly well.

@@Bole_ZG yeah plus the moo bile version is basically the complete version with every update and DLC included. If you’re pretty familiar with the monster hunter series, you’ll know that after the main game is complete, there’s tooooooooons of extra content. I just beat it the other day (40hrs total play time) and there’s still so much to do, two big bonus dungeons, high rank monsters, super bosses, a never ending list of sub quests and much more. If I wasn’t so excited to just move on to the sequel later this week, I’d stick around playing the first one for a long time-and that’s coming from a 29 year old with three kids and limited game time. It’s that good man.

Seems like Stories 2 will be like Persona 2: a flavor reference or two to the first title, but otherwise unconnected, was so worried about that. With the heart eyes I hope there are also fangs or something, hoping to be a cutie raising -cuties- monsties. With the back-to-back 9's, really feel bad for the reviewers who were assigned to

I would like to pre order this game but i didn't continue it. Since persona 5 royal on playstation store has 55% off hahaha. I tried to compare what to buy first but 55% off vs 1 pre order reward make me decide to hold the monster hunter stories 2 and Maybe i will buy this game someday on pc. Anw, thanks for the review! Trust me I felt the same way at first when playing the original. But to be fair the Japanese version also basically named them after a pun or portmanteau and Monstie grew on me over time.

I get that, but it’s almost to be expected. The series has never been one to take itself toooo serious, and boy does it love its puns. Especially when palico’s are involved. I mean, even Palico and Palimute are puns, cus they’re your “pals.”

You'd rather the game be capped at 30fps!? Are u smoking crack!? Dude 60 is the lowest any game should be. I rather have a game thats 60 fps and dips to 30-45 or whatever here and there than have a game thats 30fps and with dips and believe me I've seen plenty of games like that.
