They did a study across the nation of identical twins who were adopted by different families and never knew eachother. What they found was that those people worked similar jobs, had the same IQ, had the same interests, liked the same music, and had the same personality traits, even though they were raised in families with different income, different races, and different countries. Most of these twins were raised in completely different families yet with all that different environment they remained pretty much the same. Now most studies are actually leaning towards nature is a more significant factor than nurture.

For anybody that knows, the county jail is pretty much always worse than prison as far as the food and privileges. I couldn't wait for my court date so I can either get sent up and start my time, or hopefully get out soon. It's a balancing issue. Prison can be more dangerous where shit is poppin off, but the food and canteen is way better. Most cats would rather do two years in the state of feds than do a year in county. Just my experience anyway.

Absolutely. County jail is absolute hell. Marin county you are in a cell 23 hours a day. Every day. 12'x6', with a celly. 1 hr in the pod to do what you gotta do, make your calls, etc. Your "yard" is a courtyard about 100' x 30' at the most. No workout equipment. If they call lockdown you dont go out for your hr, sometimes 3 days. The whole jail is underground so there's no natural light except for a little sliver in the yard when the time is right to get down the 30' walls. I know it's definitely not as hard as LA County as far as being active and all that, but to me it's worse. That shit is being in the hole every single day. Now there's ca1170 to serve prison sentences in County because the pens are too overcrowded. Dudes serve up to 6 years. That shit will scar a person. A single year was hell for me
