The Vixia looks good. More natural, you can play with shallow depth of field and you have zoom! But then again you have to watch your focus sometimes. I think you should mix it up when you get a new GoPro. Each camera has pros and cons. I like how the RV is coming along by the way.

Video quality seems sharper, brighter. No smudge :) Those blinds look great. No need to have all matchy-matchy throughout. The bedroom has it's own look, and the living area has it's own look. Good luck finding the curtains to go around the front!

you do seem to get lucky on your forays for spare parts. Something you might try on your propane burners......wrap a cat flea collar around the piping next to the burner. You will find it keeps spiders out of the compartments. They last a couple years and will keep spiders from clogging the gas orafaces (sp) with their webs. I never find webs near mine from using that trick. I buy one collar and cut it in thirds for water heater, fridg, and space heater.

**You should absolutely address the steering tires as a top priority.** The dry rot that you showed says "I'm gonna blow!" I have seen trucks not much bigger than T-2 lose a steering tire and make a hard turn right into the divider wall. I personally like the goPro better. I only ever noticed the scratch when light would flare on the lens. But, the Canon works well too. I'm very glad that you are aware of the closeness that some people do when using a standard lens.. it is very annoying. T-2 is looking good! I need to find an RV graveyard around here. Have a good one.

I plugged a Braun Coffee bean grinder into my favorite Husky 2,000 watt dc-ac power inverter from Lowes and will never forget it. I had never imagined how intensely it could self destruct and to this day I am without words to express it. Anyway, after being shocked nearly to death I wanted to see what was inside. I had to smash the newly welded together case apart with an ax. Inside, to my surprise, was nothing but a molten pool of metal.

You want go wrong with the canon Vixia with a external mic. You can change the setup for closeup and wide angle. I have both the Hero3+ and Canon Vixia HF R500. I have the external mic setup for both. You can adjust the Canon so you can hold it close and get a wide angle shot. Good luck. I like the Canon video quality over the GOpro

1. I like the variety in camera. 2. In the summer I have showerable water 12 hours after running water heater for an hour or so, so yes, save the propane. 3. Coffee makers or anything with a heating element take massive watts. A standard cheapo coffee maker pulls 800 easy during brewing but falls to about 250 for the warmer. The kicker is; most cheapos brewer element will cycle on/off while the unit is 'on'.

You might be able to get a wide angle converter for your Vixia for close-up shots. The cheap ones will have some distortion, but they might still be better than using the scratched-up gopro.

Eric, Very important. Remove the iron drain plug on your water heater and replace it with a plastic one, so you can drain the tank often. The metal plug may cause rust and shorten the water heater life. The water heater should be drained often!!!!

Two things on your water heater, first, if the flame is that loud it must be yellow clean and adjust the slide on the burner tube so less air is mixed with the gas and you get a nice blue flame two, the electric element seems to be missing I see a plug where it should go. I could be wrong but you can check by looking at the manual online hopefully the model info is still there on the water heater. Your new rig is looking good. :)One more thing, looks like the inline safety fuse is missing, I am pretty sure but check your manual or the RV service center, it should go on the second terminal form the right or third form left, it should be there so if flames come out of the burner tube it will shut the whole water heater down, looks like it has be bypassed. so check it out.
