Wow! That was a LONG ride! All the way to Griffith and back? No wonder you are burnt. I didn't actually see Venice Beach but you were close ;) Those campers on the streets are actually being lived in full time. They have to move every 72 hours I think and I believe the city is trying to figure out how to accommodate them without letting them park in front of everyone's homes.

Dogs have masters.....cats have staff. Check into electric bikes. Go anywhere a regular bike can, contribute extra boost on hill-climbing.

Great to see you on your bike! I just biked my 3 errands per day, maybe an average of an hour and a half biking each day and I absolutely love it. Incredibly helpful to my overall mood, health, finances, impact on the environment, etc., etc! We carried a bike on the back of our 26 footer and traveled coast to coast with it for several summers. Your bike will pay for itself each month, just in fuel savings alone!
