I take a walk along 2nd Street in the Belmont Shore section of Long Beach, located in Los Angeles County. This area was just brimming with life, as people were out to dine at all the restaurants, socialize, and have fun.

El pollo loco means crazy chicken. It's a restaurant chain out of Costa Mesa, CA that specializes in grilled chicken that operates about 500 restaurants in the southwest. It's VERY good, if you like chicken. Cheers! :)

Open Sesame is my favorite restaurant in that area. There is line because its so yummy! The funny thing is that they have two locations on the same street. I guess one is for large parties and the other space is for regular dining. Definitely check it out if you're in the area again! They also have a location near the Grove shopping mall in LA on Beverly Blvd.

So tragic to see empty buildings and store fronts after businesses closed during the lockdown. The street has a different character now.

Speaking for those who live and work in the neighborhood, many of those empty storefronts aren't because of covid lockdown. Many hedge fund vulture types bought these buildings and tripled the rents almost overnight.....and this happened before the rona. Late stage capitalism in effect yall!
