Savannah has the 1st African Baptist Church, and it was actually part of the underground railroad. The tunnel from the river to the church is still there, and they do tours. You may find that interesting to check out before leaving or when you have a chance to go back through.

Please know I’m on your side. And, military campgrounds are indeed for we retirees. However, sometimes billeting is available on some bases; especially over the weekend. Just note.

Honorary discharged Vets can use majority of military campgrounds. Over the years we used them with my parents either through my mom who worked for DoD, or through my dad who is a AF Veteran. Both were accepted. It's been a few years, but we're planning trips this year and all the ones we called said with my Dad we can go. My Mom passed away 4 years ago so we haven't been since she got sick.

I travel a lot but I do most of mine on a cruise ship I love water and it is peaceful by sitting in a cabin with a balcony watching and watching the weaves and others ships 🚢 sailing by. After this cruise I'm booking one for Alaska I want to see the wildlife around and in the ocean like whales 🐋 and pola bears 🐻‍❄ as well as the aglacier I been to Jamaica, Canada, Brazil, the Panama, Jerusalem ,Germany. There is a lot of other countries I want to visit before I travel and visit here in the U S. I'm retired I been a traveling nurse for over 25 years I'm 57 years old now I started my nurses career when I was 25 years of age and I retired of the age of 51. So I'm happy my home is paid for so I can come back when I want that's the good thing about 🛳 when ever you want to take a break.. You be safe and stick to your dream. ❤

Hi Nomie! Another great video 😊. I am a Florida resident so Here is tip number one. Stay away from Interstate 4 between Orlando and Tampa! It is a nightmare! Number two, Get an ePass for tolls. Florida is the state of toll roads grrrrr and you save a little time and change with the ePass. Last Florida has the most beautiful state parks and many have camping for a nominal fee. Safe travels.

Please ensure you're getting enough water so you don't get dehydrated. Traveling and driving can be harsh on the body I've been there and done that. It's fun and new adventures are always great. Take your vitamins, especially b12, and E, D3-K2, and eat high-potassium foods. Kombo is great to put over food that way you'll get all the Omega in. My daughter is 38 I tell her the same all the time so its just the mom in me wanting you to be safe happy and healthy:)

A few things I think you should consider,you should get yourself a nice size step ladder and use it to sit down and eat when you are doing your videos that way you can just fold it up and keep it outta the way until you need it. And next I think a nice Ramen or Egg noodles would go great with the steak mixture you made and it would also stretch your meal just like the rice.I think your videos are great keep them coming.

I've been watching your videos and enjoy them very much. I'm 66 and have lived in Florida most of my life. You are right. some Florida drivers are crazy and don't know how to drive. I think partly because they learned how to drive in snow, but freak out when it rains. Along with the fact that many are retired and live here full time or part time, and live in the northern USA during the other part of the year. I lived in Pinellas county (Clearwater area for 17 years). That Cracker Barrel you went to is right down the road from the Clearwater/St. Pete airport. A better beach for you to go to, that is not so crowed, would either be Honeymoon Island State Park on the Dunedin Causeway OR along the Courtney Campbell Causeway, between Clearwater and Tampa. They both have less crowds than Clearwater Beach. They each have enough room that you can spread out away from others and still enjoy yourself. Hope this information helps you.

Born and raised in Ga about 40 Min north of Savannah. I remember going to Jekyll island with my mom, and older sister and a niece , where we would get a place right at the water. What fond memories. I was thinking that you would have went into some of the stores on cobblestone and grabbed some of the hot water taffy to taste as it was being made and some of the praline pecans just to name a few. Across the river there my sisters and I would always hop on the boat and spend time on the other side then ride back. I enjoy your travels each and every time you have something to share with us. Nomi. If you’re a Moose or Elk you can camp at the lodges!!! Many times it’s free or by donation. Plus good meals ( inexpensive). Each lodge is different w food ( hours , meals, etc) but most offer their property for members to camp !! ( RV etc). Moose is easier to join and yes , you can go to Moose lodges ( Elk too) all over the country!!!!!!

I love your vids. I love order, organization, being prepared for anything, 😮it brings me peace😂 The steak looks boiled, but I get the concept..lol...You are one of the most prepared van lifers I've seen this far! U see others complaining, leaving the life, but they don't appear to have been prepared, financially, or mentally. The financial stress if not prepared for unexpected repairs, maybe not having a consistent income, etc ..probably could make the experience not so enjoyable. The key seems to be preparation waaayyy in advance if this is a "choice" and not something your thrust into due to homelessness.
