That was the funniest moment on KZbin today. First when she said “you’ve got to drink the Kool-Aid” I laughed, then the explanation and realization of the saying was hilarious. When gas does come in again, I would suggest getting a fuel tank up at the farm. Many do here in the US, and keep it filled, consider your trips carefully etc., It might not be an investment you can do, but it is a suggestion. Also, if you have diesel, you could consider doing bio fuel. Our past neighbors made their own bio diesel, and we ran our VW on it from time to time in exchange for some work:)

When I was in Panama, I got garbage bags full of mangos for free from trees by the roadside. I also sometimes found free coconuts in the same way. Also, I found that it was extremely important to was the vegetables well from the farmer's stands, since they use tons of chemicals (pesticides) to grow the produce, there.

I'm a motor head at heart. Idk if you guys know how to make alcohol, but you seem extremely handy around the house and such so here is a bit of advice, if you have a carburetor driven generator/motorcycle/car/truck/tractor. A gasoline engine will run on alcohol or alcohol mix (you can mix alcohol in to stretch the gas out further if you set yourself a formula and stick to it). You'll need richer carburetor jets, or to richen your mixture via the carburetor. Idle mixture adjusting screw should cover you. You'll need to make up your mixture and then start the engine up and then fine tune it richer to run more smoothly on the new mixture. But yes it's absolutely true. Then you can cover your own fuel needs so long as you have fruits to ferment and time. Not a bad idea to fire up and get going while you can. God bless you guys.

I absolutely love that Kaylee is still breastfeeding naturally. Too many new Moms have been convinced it’s easier to pump and feed your baby from a bottle. I am not saying that’s not beneficial to the mom and baby, because it is; I am saying that it makes an awful lot of work and you don’t get the same bonding you do by actually nursing. Personally I nursed all 3 of my children and I can’t imagine doing it any other way. It was so easy. Milk was always ready and the right temperature, there weren’t bottles to wash and prepare, and in the middle of the night I could lay the baby next to me and doze while the baby nursed.

@@guillermogouldburn763 I was under the impression that there were riots as well because I saw fires. So I’m thinking, why start fires, if it’s supposed to be peaceful protests. Also, Panama has fuel shortages aside from food shortages and inflation. I realize it is bad everywhere. However, we are experiencing a lot of chaos in the US mostly because we have a pathological lying, illegitimate Brandon in the White House. Who is permitting the radical Leftist to turn the US into a disastrous socialist country.

The slightly awkward "Kool-Aid" moment was priceless... Funny and innocent. On a positive and somewhat chaotic view on that drink, consider the book "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe. 🙊

You guys are such good sports! That was fun. I have done a lot of long distance walking, 20 miles was the longest day for 14 days straight, and I know just how bad the feets can hurt, haha. I hope this gets resolved for you guys soon... maybe electric bikes for emergencies or self-sufficiency.

Wow! big line for gas... here in the City we are doing fine. Anyway, i feel this situation that we are going through will open more eyes about how many injustices exist in Panama... Lets hope the goverment really listen and do something about this.

Oh my goodness such a long way to walk. You both are an amazing couple. I admire your commitment, through thick and thin. Oh how I wish you had one of those folding wagons. It would take the weight off your backs. Plus Sadie could ride in it. I smiled when you named the baby 🍼. Sadie was my great grandmother's name. I think Trent and Ally's little guy Leo is just a little younger than Sadie. I truly hope things will get better for you. Take care, stay strong, and don't over do it.

Hey guys you should get yourself a red flyer pull wagon or a beach wagon with nice sturdy wheels to pull next time, so that you can have a place to put the groceries you buy at the market. So glad to see that you are all succeeding beautifully at Lola’s Farm. Can’t wait to see that SPA/bathroom/shower/steam room and laundry building completed! Gods blessing to you all and continued success in all that you do! Just love Sayde’s new teeth❤️what a cute smile she has!

When you're old as I am, you're going to remember days like this one, and be amazed at life at your age. I said, recently to a younger friend, 'I remember when I was only 62, I walked up Mt. Snowdon', [N. Wales]. 19 yrs. ago.

When gas got too expensive We did everything by bicycle, so we took a metal cage over our basket in the back to lock up groceries , for we did a multishop approach. The Best part biking with a baby is we attached a baby seat that can be attached to a table just by baby's weight. We got that in the trash of all places. Creativity works when times get hard. Save your video SO YOU ALL CAN LAUGH LATER, I wished we had the ability to film our moments back to show our grown son That LIFE IS FUN . The slow MO was perfect. Thank you for sharing your walk.

When I lived there, I used my motorcycle when things got tough. Me, the wife, our nine month old, and our groceries on an old pizza bike. I’m not sure if they even have pizza bikes there anymore, basically a 125cc with an insulated box on the back.

This situation calls for an ebike. I don't know how steep the road is going up since cameras always seem to flatten hills, but as a casual rider having the assist from the motor makes hills much easier. I can charge with a small solar generator and folding solar panels. About 18 years ago my car died and I walked the one mile from my apartment to the grocery store and back one time. After that I used my bike with a backpack until I discovered that they would deliver, so I just went to get produce on the bike until I got a new car. I know you will need the truck for construction stuff, but an electric scooter, or ebike would help out saving on gas if there is a shortage or price spike again
