Honestly Vegeta needed to take this L to get a reality check, at this point he already defeated an Android and had already became a super Saiyan which led to him believing that he was the strongest (which at this point he was actually stronger than Goku). But after this fight Vegeta was obviously pissed off (I mean the man was standing in the rain for hours wondering how he fucked up so bad) but it only led to him being more motivated to become stronger and surpasses super Saiyan at any means

As people stated, Vegeta was supposedly stronger than Goku at the time, meaning if Goku were to fight the androids, they would’ve easily beat him. It was probably a good thing that Goku had the heart virus, because if he didn’t, he would’ve fought the anriods and died, and than it would’ve been a repeat of Future Trunks’ timeline.

Androids are broken they have Infinite energy and stamina but they can get hurt but at this time Android 18 is way stronger than Vegeta. Android 17 Android 18's twim brother is stronger than her and Android 16 is the strongest atleast at this point in time.
