Listened to your podcast. Was interesting especially when you said only 1% of ppl worldwide have epilepsy. I am a 70 yr female (younger physically and mentally). Severe seizures happened after 3 covid vaccines. I don’t know if there is a connection but it was frightening. I did end up unconscious in the hospital in a coma for 5 days. Following that the horror continued. Multiple eegs, in hospital, at home eegs…that showed nothing. Seizures continued. I was on meds. Seizures were mostly awake but auras so I could find safety. But I did have clusters. Carry emergency meds for that. Once in awhile I’ll have a bad one where I lose bladder control. Going to movies will throw me into a major seizure. I have a M.Ed. Ppl seem to have epileptic s thrown into a room of low IQ ppl. Judgement is sad 😞. I stay away from ppl now. The neurologist said I have “ictal seizures “. He moved his hand all over his head and said it’s everywhere! WTH ! He’s the head of the neuro dept of the city I live in. I had a VNS placed one month ago. Idk if it will help. So here I sit. Wondering if only 1% of ppl have seizures, WTH do I have ? Any response would be appreciated. Oh , btw , he said I never had a stroke or a brain tumor, which is interesting bc I never had an MRI or any tests for a stroke. Just saying. 😮

What kind of meds can / are used to calm these patients? It kinda looks like "anxious attacks" + "hysteria like": Diazepam / midazolam ? Or psyk meds like zyprexa etc? What about pain meds (oxycontin etc), are those relevant?

Just listened to a very interesting physician yesterday. She said epilepsy is suddenly on the increase from ppl aged 55 +. It’s great news. Bc epilepsy has always been aimed at children. So , my belief is this is certainly not to psychiatrist. If there is a sudden increase , something is going on. I’m thinking Covid. I never had this until Covid. Millions have all kinds of disorders now. If they don’t know , they always throw ppl to a psychiatrist . It’s wrong !!!
