Hi! 2. The teacher made him sit in the corner. Is this not a causative verb which splits and the object goes in between? subject - the teacher verb phrase - made sit object - him adverbial - in the corner I've only recently started looking at causative verbs, and this seems like an example of that to me rather than a bare infinitive. Genuinely curious as this has confused my own understanding now.

At 8:40 you say that “each being” is an option here, but isn’t being when it’s used as a postmodifier always dynamic, resulting in “they are each being”?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure I follow entirely. My main goal was to identify the implied clause. And then I pointed out that using "each being" would avoid a comma splice (if using "each was"). But there's probably more that could be said about this construction, as you point out.

Hello professor Your writing is too small and it is not clear enough to read that makes us feel uncomfortable and leave your Channel. Thank you for your courses. Your follower from Algeria.
