Another excellent video. Plenty of details for the raw beginner here. I especially appreciate the cut list. I'm still marinating my cat tower project. This is great marinade.

Thank Darius! The cut list is something new I added in hopes it would further help those who want to build the cat tower 2.0. Thanks again for the compliment and for watching my videos!

Thanks very much for showing us how to build a floor to ceiling cat tower. I do need to rewatch the way you fitting the adjustable top piece again. 👍

I am building this right now!!!! Thankyou so much! Love this! I live in Australia, amd i could only find a centre pole that was 10cm wide and about 3 cm thick. It’s not as snug as your inner pole. Hoping that isn’t too much of a concern? Thanks again! Mon
@DIYXplorer4 ай бұрын
Hi Monique! Sorry for the delay; in the video, I use screws to secure the pole up and down on both sides of the board. The pole inside is for extra strength; we have a 9.8 kg tuxy cat. The sisal rope should strengthen the pole reasonably well. My first cat tower was a tube, wood shelves, and sisal rope. It is solid and is still going. Check out my web page for the project here for more details: bit.ly/cat-tower-2-build Thanks for commenting, and good luck! Send a picture when you get it built. I'd love to feature it in another of my upcoming videos.

Hi Tacocat! Great video. I would like more info on the top assembly as I'm a bit confused about how to set it up. Thanks!

Hi Mandy; I have a post on my website with more pictures and videos specifically for the top assembly. You can go here to see: bit.ly/3P8zXW3 I hope that helps. If you need more, leave another reply, and I can help where I can. Sorry for the delayed response; sometimes, life gets in the way of YouTubing! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Just wanted to say thank you for making me giggle... even tho you didn't try... you said doo-doo😂 at least I thought you did... you actually said due to but it was a great start to my morning, so thanks! Cannot wait to make this *taco cat*

I might have doo-doo. I have said goofy things in my videos before. 😂 Glad it got your day off to a good start! I need to start putting my goofs at the end of videos; some are pretty funny. Many cameos are from the outside feral cats we care for. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!

I'm confused about the top cap. At 22:40 you show the top cap being screwed to the top piece, and at 23:00 you sandwich it all together with nuts. But then in the next shot where you attach the threaded rod assembly to the pole, the top cap is no longer screwed to the top piece, but is instead screwed to the pole. Can you clarify should the top cap be attached to the top piece or the pole? What was the reason for the change.

i went back to study that part. it may have been a mistake. also maybe it was for the top part cuz he said ceiling. the next one was probably for the floor
@Deaf_Kitten Жыл бұрын
i looked at the end, both ends have a wide base. first one was for the top, second one was for the floor. the pole is flesh with the base on the floor rather than the ceiling. but it totally confused me too when you mentioned it

I'd love to build my two kitties one of these but I live in a flat (apartment in UK) and no place to cut and assemble, what a pain.
@DIYXplorer4 ай бұрын
Hi Richard! Apartments can be tricky. When I started my channel, I lived in a tiny upstairs apartment of a friend's house; all later, the videos were on my back patio at my GF's house. I am now just building a woodworking shed to work out of. Another KZbinr I know started in the basement of his high-rise condo. Necessity is the mother of invention. Never know if you will find the right space to build. I wish you the best! As much as building is fun, you can buy one from Amazon. Here is one that looks pretty good. amzn.to/3WrAgjn Sorry for the US store link. Make sure to read the reviews. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

I will try to get something put together that will help. I had done the lights as an afterthought, which was a pain in the butt. I want to ensure that any video I make is the best and easiest way. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
