As someone who bought Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void, I was not disappointed with any of my purchases. I loved the new units added to multi-player and the campaigns were fun. This was at a time though when I felt I could actually support Blizzard, but after Overwatch 2.....it's gonna take a lot to get me back to that position.

I think something people miss about League's popularity is the focus on split second micro. Dota is an inherently slower game with turn speed and mostly slower animations/spells which promotes more in depth macro decisions as well as making you more intentional with your hero. League is much much faster paced and 1 or 2 wrong clicks in a team fight can lose you the game. It's also much more solo focused than Dota, you sit in separate lanes far longer and the lack of a giant map with creeps all over means that you usually have all 3 lanes occupied since that's the only place for resources on the map. I play both and I don't think League's popularity is just that it's sexy, it helps, but it's usually just a matter of preference on what style of game you like.

Muscle memory =/= dopamine, although many neurotransmitters are implicated. League is the most popular moba but it has the objectively lowest skill ceiling. It doesn’t translate to other games. There are no mechanics. League players are casual, inherently, in the gaming world. They have no transversal skills to proper RTS, FPS, or even high skill ceiling RPG

idk... in terms of MOBA, there's a couple mobile MOBA games that >>> DOTA2 and League is better too... because you are NOT STUCK in a game where you have NO CHOICE but to play 50+ games. you won't see 2-3 hr long games inleague unless you have 4 ppl trolling you.

League is sexy? I mean maybe splash arts are a little bit, but in-game there is absolutely nothing special. League is popular because it's just so easy understand. Easy to see your goals and everything that is going on. Dota is just a mess for the eyes and even more of mess for my fingers with all that micro

The WoW effect is happening lol. He's talking about the small player bases of RTS. WoW classic is a good fit for him, it came out right at the end of WC3. It would be nice to see him take a more athletic tone towards WoW. I do not think you need other people to teach you. Just focus and do your best, you are already a pro gamer.

I also dislike SC2...it is made to be a stupid game just to waste people's time. How can one cheap unit like Oracle or Liberator loose you the game? The game is made to have a luck as a main factor when one cheap unit can quickly destroy all workers and doesn't matter how big is your army or whether you have map control. Also so many bots in unranked games - they are in nearly every game. What is developers purpose in this to let you play against bots and pretend they are real players? That's not how players should be treated...
