Non-stop Railroad Action at Ljubljana, Slovenia in May 2016

Railroad activity at the Ljubljana, Slovenia train station yard taken during our vacation on May 17-18, 2016. Ljubljana is a major transport gateway between eastern and western Europe and action here is non-stop!

To all you Slovenians - we loved your country! Piran, Lipica, Skocjan, Lake Bled, Vrsic Pass, and Kobarid, not to mention Ljubljana, were all great places to visit and we loved the people too!

Well, anything's non-stop if you edit out the pauses... Clearly it is a busy location, but this was shot across two days.

Hi Lisa, it was an Airbnb in the same highrise as this although this is not the exact room we stayed in - www.airbnb.com/rooms/19384798?location=Ljubljana%2C%20Slovenia&s=yY-KdPe4. It's kind of a big boxy metallic looking ultra modern monstrosity of a building with odd rusty perforated sheet metal sliding shutter doors (poke around on Google Earth streetview and you'll find it right away...). But it's new, has a great location, and a great view of the tracks if you can find an Airbnb on the right side.

Oregon Joint Line Model Railroad OK, thanks. I did find the building on Google Earth and saw it was a mix of retail and apartments so I figured you must have stayed at an abnb property. I'll check it out!
