The hype around folklore is also what got me into Taylor Swift. I also only knew her most popular songs and I learned something listening to her albums: Those are her worst songs. I dont mean it in a bad way they're are great songs, its just that everything else is so much better. Taylor said about folklore that it was the first time she didnt write specifically like "this will be the single." And it shows. Lover is an amazing album and if you cut Me out it would be perfect. I feel like her singles hold it back, because what a masterful album. If Cruel Summer and others had been her single she would have walked away with all the awards. Same with Reputation I think. Her best work, her great moments are something you cant apppreciate if you only know her singles, which are still great, but if thats all you know youd be like me. Oh yeah i enjoy when they're on the radio but was never really a fan. Now its been a freaken revelation. Now i get why all her fans talk about her being amazing and a genius. The clues the layer within layers in the lyrics of her songs. Amazing.
@Black_cat_273 жыл бұрын
I feel like she now puts out her fav music as singles, based on her emotions and connect to a song rather than what she thinks “we” or the media or the academy will think.. she’s just surpassed all the awards at this point and just puts music out there as almost free therapy😂

20:20 The song is Out Of The Woods, one of the two underrated singles of 1989 (the other is New Romantics). That song portrays her relationship with HS (i think because, she has a tattoo "HS" in the mv) their relationship was haunted by media, and it made her very anxious about their relationship thats why the chorus is repetitive. Masterpiece.

Taylor capitalizes off of twerking is such a stretch. In shake it off, there’s all type of dances. Twerking happens to be one of them. The MV was her implying that no, she doesnt do all these dances seriously (meaning the hip hop dances, twerking, ballet, cheerleading dances that she included in the mv) she just dances for the fun of it whixh ppl even criticized her for… dancing in silly manner bc she had fun.

But I'm pretty sure most fans would've agreed that you should do what are owned by one and truly Taylor's, and not the stolen version so this is the list of the albums owned by Taylor so far: - folklore (July, 2020) - evermore (December, 2020) - lover (2019) - fearless (Taylor's version) (April, 2021) - red (Taylor's version) (November, 2021)

I remember people giving me looks or asking me if I was a stupid 13 year old girl when I would listen to her music and I was 30 at that time! I've been a fan of of Taylor Swift's music since my teenage years. Now I'm at my early thirties and I still love her songs. I can say I'm one of those who went crazy when 'Folklore' (and its twin 'Evermore' afterwards) came out... One of the most special things about her masterpieces is that I get to feel the emotions deep in my heart and soul even though I don't have any relationships yet. Everything, from butterflies of joy to the depth of pain and heartbreak to fire ball of rage. I even cry (Oh please, it feels like my heart was getting stabbed when I listened to 'All To Well' 10 min ver). I didn't even know much of Taylor's actual lovelife and heartbreaks. I didn't know most of the guys he dated. Her songs are enough for me to know at least what she felt in the relationship and after that.
