So basically when Taylor and Harry dated, they could barely have any time for themselves because of the media. The paper airplane line is because her and Harry wore matching paper airplane necklace. The “hit the breaks to soon” and “20 stitches in a hospital room” refers to the time Harry got them in an accident lmao🤧

this is probably my fave of 1989 also the bridge is a reference to a snow mobile crash that they got into and harry had to get stiches but no one knew about the crash at the time cause Taylor wanted to keep it private

Here are things that you need to know. (i hope you'll read these :D) - the blue dress is the dress that she wore when she broke up with harry - the chorus is very repetitive to represent the anxiety she had in the relationship bcs of the paparazzi and all that stuff - "are we out of the woods?" and "are we in the clear yet?" in those lines she was asking are we (her and harry) free now? Is there still paparazzi out there? Harry and taylor doesn't have any bad blood. Even taylor said that the relationship was special. Unfortunately it was ruined by the paparazzi and the circumstances they were in since 1D was really famous at that time. - in the music video at the bridge part, if you look closely to taylor's wrist, there were h.s written. Means harry styles - "Remember when you hit the brakes too soon 20 stitches in the hospital room" harry and taylor went snowmobile and they got into an accident bcs harry hit the break too soon. They had to go to the emergency room and then harry got his chin stitched - "your necklace hanging from my neck" "2 paper airplane flying 3×" they used to wear a matching airplane neclace *Correct me if you think there are some mistakes and pls add incase i miss something
