Pathfinder fighters are one of the major reasons I switched over to Pathfinder. Not necessarily just the class, but when I looked at it in the playtest it was a perfect example of their game design philosophy behind the game. They really encourage cool and unique builds for a class which I previously saw as extremely boring, you can literally have an entire party of human fighters and every single one would be unique and feel like a completely different character (which was at least not possible IMO in 5e without using way to many books to get different subclasses and even then they still ended up similar). And that's JUST the core rulebook! With the addition of all the new archetypes and class options in the newer books it's going to be even more and more diverse which is insane to think about

I completely agree! The odds of two characters being the same are almost impossible! Even with just core rulebook fighters you could have a 4-man party of: - A ranged Fighter - A sword and shield Fighter - A dual wiedling Fighter - A Two-Handed FIghter and each one would function completely differently with almost completely different sets of feats, abilities, and skills.

3:33 you have a small error here, as you said " [...] or moving into or out of the fighters reach during a move action" rather than how you said it, the enemy triggers the AoO if they move out of a square in the fighter's reach (during a move action) so when the enemy first gets into the fighter's reach, the do *not* trigger an AoO (moving out of the fighters reach triggers it, so no error here) no hard feeling tho, i really like your videos as they are a great way to see if i missed anything when i read through the classes :D edit: spelling

Ahh, I see what you mean! That's definitely what I meant to imply, but I'll pin your comment to help clarify for people! Thanks!

The massive number of choices are great for Fighters. There are a lot of feats for Fighters to get Bonus reactions that could let you both raise your shield and shield block. Including a 20th level feat that gives you a reaction at the start of every enemy's turn.

I love the late-game fighter options! Perma-Quickened for a 4th action every round? Yes please.

@@Nonat1s More actions never hurt. Monk also gets something similar for movement, but at level 20, they can also choose a reaction that can let them either reroll a failed save, or make a foe reroll an attack against them. Hell of a capstone.

@Robert Kemp Flurry of Blows lets you do two attacks on one action, but they follow the same additional attack progression. Your penalty on additional attacks never gets worse than the third attack. Whether you're using the normal 0, -5, -10, or the agile 0, -4, -8, your fourth attack won't get worse. So, if you're using an agile unarmed strike, the third and fourth strikes will both be at -8. Now, if you're a Ranger who specialized in Flurry and your target was your hunted prey, your penalty could be as low as 0, -2, -4 (and 0, -1, -2 with an agile weapon). That's the higher level reduction mind you.
