I still miss the jive 95. They played some great live concerts on the radio throughout the 70’s All good things usually come to an end sooner or later.

An especially fine "House At Pooneil Corner" -- my dark favorite since I heard it off the record in 1968. In some respects, could be their last word..

Saw them in LA summer 1969 free concert in Griffth Park Merry Go Round area. There was only about 200 people in attendance. It was only advertised with a little column in the Free Press. Green Peace served free food. A few weeks later the Young Bloods and Grass Roots played and it was packed. Word got out about free concerts. This was all before Woodstock.

This is shortly before the legendary WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL . The band never played better than in 1969 .

"The Ballad of You and Me and Pooneil" and "Eskimo Blue Day" are grafted into this performance from the NET-TV broadcast SAN FRANCISCO ROCK: LIVE AT THE FAMILY DOG. They can both be found here with their corresponding visuals.

Great concert,. Hard to believe it's been 50 years since this show.

very high quality recording and mix of the beginning and end of the airplane...soon they would internally self destruct later that year and all that would remain would be fractured pieces of memories of how things only briefly were until normalcy and mediocrity again became what it always was and the music and time of uniqueness was only so very very brief...'seen from the stars hour by hour as splintered scraps and black powder...'

Yes -- and "House at Pooneil Corners" bookended their best creative period. That song still applies, now more than ever.
