People were saying that the pattern sequencer was bad but looking at this video to me it is just fine. I just bought my sp404A a few days ago and I am so happy. I could have bought a mpc one but I am sick of looking at a computer screen I perfer to use my ears…. Thanks for the video

It’s like anything - it has it’s feel n it takes a little practice for your brain / hands + machine to get to know each other but I really dig it and the workflow of it. Def feels good to work without a computer. Cheers!

@@Nonjuror hey! How do you synchronize the sequenzer bpm with the band when playing live?
@Nonjuror5 жыл бұрын
@@slapalot2589 I'm usually finger drumming so I haven't gone down that road but you can control the sp404a as a slave via midi, so if you have a master like a laptop I'd feed the drummer a click track from there.

@@Nonjuror thank you! I mostly play guitar with a Looper, using the sp as a drummachine, with the sequenzer it would be much easier to switch between different parts... Trying to figure out the handiest ways to get it going smooth

So the swing feel is written into the pattern itself? No way to dial it up or down in real time during pattern playback?
@Nonjuror5 жыл бұрын
Sadly not, that would be nice. One positive of how it works is that you can have different swing settings happening at once if you record it that way.

does the tempo have to be the same on every pad I made a few different sequences on 12 pads and every time I change the BPM it changes it for All the pads …please any advice
@Nonjuror5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, exactly, it's like the whole machine is one project file when it comes to tempo. If you're using different SD cards I think it might remember the last tempo is was on each card but that's it. It's a mofo, for sure.

I have a sp202 . What’s the difference in recording in mono instead of stereo ?
@Nonjuror6 жыл бұрын
If the source of what you are sampling is in stereo (and connected in the left and right inputs) and you select mono it combines the two signals into one. Also, uses half the disk space and there's a couple of the features like maybe time stretch that don't work in stereo as well as the highest sample rate.
@marziesk69696 жыл бұрын
Yeah I sampled from a professional turntable that has rca left and right . So it’s better to record into mono and if I’m gunna record that into sp404sx since it’s already stereo or into a daw. Thanks for the info .
