I met my boss in jail and he gave me a job when we got out and he taught me a lot. I was doing well, we made many homes a lot nicer and for a great price. I just didn't want to do it for the rest of my life, he spoke of how I could make it a real career and prosper in the future. I did walk away tho. It wasn't to dance on twitch but because I dont know what I want to do with myself. I do regret it and I am considering calling him back. This was a while ago idk. Kids these days are lost without fathers. Ive been lost from the start and that maybe why my generation is so flaky, bitchy and unsure of the world. Our dads weren't dads to us. Kids are not your friends they are your kids. His departure for profit is him not knowing how to value things like me. My boss helped me so much and I gave up on the entire trade because of my problems and he gave up on his boss for money. At least he's using those skills and still smithing. He can get more skilled and thats better than just walking away altogether.

The gorget was a good idea. Actual knights would’ve attached their shoulder pieces through what’s called an “arming doublet”. It’s essentially a shirt with leather points that pass strings through the rings of the chainmail, and then the shoulder plates would be secured by tying the string into the holes made in the shoulder plates themselves.
