It makes me so proud reading all of these incredibly kind comments about my nonna! She is and always has been a beacon of our family ❤ There are so many more stories she could share, it could easily be an entire series!

grandchildren are so lucky to have this nonna! my grandparents came to the States about 1890s. But they never taught anyone Italian, customs, traditions or cooking. I know I have missed out of something special

Why do all Italian moms/nana’s make you feel like your own. God bless you Nonna. My mom is 95 and now I do the cooking for my family, learned to love food and to cook from my mother, grandmother.

A beautiful, well-spoken lady whose hard life hasn't affected her love for her family, her love of her Italian culture, her strength and her ability to pass on her knowledge of important life skills to others. So touching and memorable. Every person should have a loving Nonna Rosa in their lives. A great interview.

My grandfather was the major of Sant'Arpino and my grandmather was born in NYC but her family was also from Sant'Arpino. Thank you so much❤️

It is absolutely amazing to me that the southern Italian diaspora are virtually the same people with the same outlook on life regardless of the countries they emigrated to.
@CAPTAINBAZOOKA-wn5by2 жыл бұрын
yes. The OLD southern Italians are a strong breed of people........because of the poverty and hard work......it made them a proud and sturdy people....and a group of people that did all they could,,,, so the next generation..... would be better than them.....

I love Nonna Rosa! When I was 8 there was an Italian lady in our neighborhood who didn't speak any English. She loved children. I remember many a time where I would wrap my arms around her ample waist and hug her. We children all loved her. Nonna Rosa is that type of lady. I hope there's more videos about her. I don't speak Italian so I put the translator on which makes it easy to know what's being asked and what her answers are. Is she still alive? This video was 3 years ago.

Yes, she’s still alive and kicking and still cooking us all Christmas Eve dinner and cooks for the family still whenever we go over. She hasn’t lost any of her spark! She’s turning 88 year olds on January 1st!

This is such a special video, that we as a family will cherish.
