Love Love this project that gives homes to our Veterans!! Interesting note, US Veteran Brandon Nixon featuring at 1:30 was actually featured on Netflix's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. They also talked about the Veterans Community Project on the show. Great to see that this organization is getting so much media attention.

Im not a veteran, but I do know what it is to battle major depression (i still have to battle). Medicinal cannabis helped me survive and ease the pain when nothing else would, and i do not like/refuse to take synthetic medications, they have bad side effects im not willing to risk. I dont even usually take cold medicine. But my parents are more conservative and because i was crying out for help and they were just afraid and acted more out of fear than out of love, they kicked me out after i had nearly died and landed in the hospital, and i was working (at times two jobs) and living in and out of my car, hostels, airbnb...... the sleep deprivation was severe and like torture. No human being regardless of their mistakes should have to live this way. Its a failure of our society that we do not have services widely available for anyone going through this. The Tiny Home movement gives me some cause for hope. Its a wonderful solution for homelessness. All i ever really wanted in life is just to sing (im a singer), and to add to that, I just want a tiny home someday. What i really want is for EVERYONE to have at least a tiny home and for homelessness to become a thing of the past. God Bless the angels working to restore dignity and hope to others, things every human being needs and deserves.

❤️this is how it should be, anyone in America who is a vet should have a home given to them for life & free health insurance for life. They sacrifice their life for their country the least their country can do is provide full free health insurance & a home.

None profit shouldn’t have to step in after serving for a so called nation! The same system that used these people up and spit them out should and needs to continue to support them and make sure they have everything they need to sustain their wellbeing. This is disgusting and still people are wanting to support a system that truly never supports their own. This should never be, what are you truly fighting for if you won’t even take care of home and those who are willing to give a part of their life for a nation and military that doesn’t have the backs of the ppl

Honestly speaking, from the picture above this looks like a ghetto in the making. Cant this be in a better nicer place for them. You have all these project apartments around them. This should be in a quieter area for the Veteran's of our Nation. And have the bus stop drive right into the neighborhoods built for them. Maybe even have special bus systems with buses equipped to take care of any emergency they may have. I don't mean to knock this, but it looks half assed " sheds" painted and slapped together and not thought out at all. And look at the rest of the neighborhood too. Are these even FIRE SAFE? Look how close together.

I wonder if people see the connection between these vets and all those who live in the U.S. No man is an island. It’s about pulling together and helping each other up and out of a bad or desperate situation. Those who are in need, may get. Those who are able, may give. The _people_ will make the country what it needs to be. Not the symbolic image of a flag nor an apple pie.

@mememe3161

Some veterans were file clerks, some worked the laundry room, some were cooks, some were drivers, some ran machinery, these were 10 hours a day jobs just like civilian jobs, and they get the same benefits as combat, do you think that is fare ?
@justpeachy2738
@justpeachy2738 4 жыл бұрын
And those veteran most likely aren't in this situation when they return to the states considering they weren't part of the actual combat. If you cook all day you aren't going to develop PTSD obviously.

Veterans who went to west point and believed that little darling and now are on the streets. Why? Probably those enemies . . . four in and dome stick. The pals who helped lead them on are doing just fine though. Go figure.
