Borås station is really amazing, worth a look. MTR want out from this service as it has not been profitable. SJ tilting trains cover this route in as little as 2 hours 50 minutes. Usually cheaper to travel with them, and quicker too. There are at least 4 operators on this route. As you say, Gothenburg is an amazing place. Know it well.

I worked on board these trains in 17/18. The first class catering great! Due to Swedish food laws being horrendously strict we often could bring leftovers home! The train is nice. If you’re a passenger. For employees you have nowhere to go for a break. There exists a space to make PA etc but it’s Two instead employees have to sit out with the passengers. Which in turn can lead to passengers thinking you’re not working, or the opposite, the passengers keep asking you questions. It’s one of the reasons I quit. I have worked in the service hospitality industry for years. Somewhere to shut the door is vital

I don't, cause it's the X2000 technically far superior, with a higher average speed, cause of the far higher acceleration, and if the tracks permitted 200km/h without tilting, which is all I care about, and the X2000's tilting makes me motion sick, this train doesn't.

Thank you for an excellent and helpful video. I have travelled many times between Sweden's two largest cities, but always by SJ X2000 trains. This is partly because when I visit Sweden I buy a first class Swedish Interrail pass which is (I think) not valid on MTRX. I am a huge fan of Swedish public transport (Bus, tram, train and boat). However I am not very keen on the X2000s. Seats are often not aligned with windows, and the tilting makes eating meals difficult. If I visit Sweden again your video makes me think 'I must try MTRX plus class, even though it is not covered by my Interrail.'

At Soekarno Hatta Airport you can take the Airport Skytrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, 3 and vice versa. 2. From the airport to the center of Jakarta you can take the Airport Railink train. 3. In the city of Jakarta itself there are many modes of train transportation such as the Jakarta Commuter line, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta and LRT Jabodebek. 4. From Jakarta you can visit Bandung by taking the newest Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train at a speed of 350 km/hour. 5. From Bandung you can continue to Yogyakarta, The Capital of Javanese culture, where there is the largest Buddhist temple in the world Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple by using the Panoramic Argo Wilis train. Nice train but I have mixed reviews of the Swedish train system in general. It's nice as long as you stay on the mainline, but I tried going from Stockholm to Charlottenberg which is in theory on the same line (even on the capital to capital line Stockholm - Oslo!) ... in practice I changed in Arboga to a train to Örebro, to a bus to Karlstad, then another train to Charlottenberg, with long waiting times inbetween. I'd have used the MTRX if I had not gone via my relative's cottage in the Charlottenberg region.
@jatterhog Жыл бұрын
Well, that route is possible using an SJ train nonstop Stockholm-Arvika and then a short local train Arvika-Charlottenberg, unless there was track maintenance.
@uncinarynin Жыл бұрын
@@jatterhog Stockholm - Arvika only seems to have three direct trains per day. Departure 6:02, 15:30, 18:09. There was no way I could check out of my hotel early enough to catch the 6:02 train, the train of 15:30 would arrive too late and so I did it the complicated way.
@jatterhog Жыл бұрын
@@uncinarynin usually there’s also trains 7.37 and 10.51, but I think there’s maintenance work on the tracks. There’s also a 12.57 IC to Karlstad where you can change to the local train to Charlottenberg too.
@jatterhog Жыл бұрын
Add on: the 12.57 is also cancelled due to track maintenance. So if you want a decent itinerary right now - your choice is between the 6.02 or 15.30/16.55. I’d take the 16.55-21.16 connection myself as it’s all by train and with shorter connection times.
