Another great video. I have quick question: for the dumbbell example, when the biceps maintain it at a certain position, since the weight remains the same, can it be both isometric and isotonic?
@NonstopNeuron Жыл бұрын
Sort of, Yes. But in my experience understanding these intricacies is not helpful in understanding other concepts any further. So I am keeping information simple and not going in further detail.

1:25 actually not all parts of your torso contracts isometrically during pushups. Your pectoralis major (chest in other words) contracts in an isotonic manner as it stretches repetition, the very reason why pushup is a good exercise for your pecs.

quick question, why does the tension in isometric contraction increases while in isotonic it’s constant
@أملمختار-ع5ل6 ай бұрын
U've missed smth up ،im afraid, rhe question is How does the tension in isotonic not Change while the length changes (what about length tension relationship!)
@memehub.11904 ай бұрын
The weight of dumbbell (m.g) remains the same and the tension also friction directly proportional to normal or m.g
@hypercrowd944413 күн бұрын
@@أملمختار-ع5لcuz length tension relationship tells us about the MAXIMUM tension that can be produced at a particular length
