I think that you got Bart Starr confused with Bert Jones. Bert Jones was the quarterback for the Colts in 1981 and they never even faced the Packers that year. The only franchise that Bart Starr was ever involved with was the Green Bay Packers. Granted, he was still in the league in 81, but as the head coach of the Packers. He retired as a player in 71.

The 1976 Tampa Bay Bucs were dreadful. Every game they played in was a blowout : Tampa Bay offered one of the worst defense I've ever seen... Offense wasn't terrible, and the special teams were a Capharnaum! They didn't went 0-16, but they've lost 26 consecutive games. The 2008 Detroit Lions looked like a competent team compare to them... I know the Bucs were an expansion team, but still...

The Lions moved on from him because it’s obvious that the long-time rebuild under Martha Ford and Matt Patricia was failing, and didn’t want to waste Stafford’s entire career there. Now we’re in a new rebuild under Sheila Ford Hamp and Dan Campbell, and despite being winless right now, keep in mind that the Lions aren’t trying to win. We know they don’t have the star power or experience to get anywhere this season, but we’re playing much better than we ever did under Patricia. So no, we didn’t blame Stafford for 2-3 winning seasons out of 12. Don’t go talking shit about a struggling franchise unless you know the whole story.

These are the worst teams in the Super Bowl era. The worst team in all NFL history is the 1934 Cincinnati Reds. The Reds went 0-8 and were kicked out of the league. Their point differential was -233 (10-243). They were shut out in 6 of 8 games and only scored a FG and a TD in two games against the Bears. In the Reds' final NFL game, they suffered the worst shutout loss in the regualr season, a 64-0 pounding by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Lions' winless season was merely part of an ungodly 5-47 stretch that began in November 2007 and ended in December 2010. Even so, there's no way that team was worse than the '76 Bucs.
