Toni KUKOC unknown records: Highest 3PT % improvement in NBA history -Kukoc improved from 26.2% in 1999-00 to 44.6% in 2000-01. Most Game winning shots in a season (1993-1994) -KUKOC lead the league with game winning shots all in his ROOKIE year. This was the year Toni made the legendary buzzer beater against NY Knicks. In my opinion his game winning shots rank amongst the best of all time, A) Scoring in clutch moments B) Degree of difficulty was insane. Top 10 in league for W/S Winshares in 2 separate years! Only player to ever 3 PEAT with Club and NBA Team - 3 x club champion - 3x NBA champion Toni will be the only player in history to ever accomplish this. None the less there is no reason toni shouldn’t be in the Naismith Basketball HOF. I shouldn’t even need to plead his case as his resume is amongst the most impressive in the history of the sport.Ontop of Toni being not only the first stretch 4 in the game but being one of the first people to pave the way for international basketball (Add he was on the most popular sports franchise team EVER) he is the pioneer of European basketball. I think it’s enough to say that if MJ and Pippen have advocated for Toni to be inducted .. it’s just long overdue, the disrespect is real.

From the croatian interviews I saw with Kukoc, I would charaterise him as a real Dalmatian man. He is too humble for his own NBA career i think. Just like Phil Jackson sad he only scratched the surface of his talents. He was one of the most talented players then, with his passing, shooting, size and touch. His IQ was high. If he got to the NBA now and coaches and teammates gave him confidence and trust like they do today, he would be Doncic. period

The popular narrative about Toni Kukoc and the Bulls is completely wrong. As covered a bit in The Last Dance, Jordan, and especially Pippen, and real issues with the GM Krause. Those issues, in particular as they related to Pippen who at that time was vastly underpaid compared to his peers, were most transparent with Krause's public infatuation and chase of Kukoc. That happen to align right about the time of the Dream Team Olympics. So Jordan teamed with Pippen (Jordan mostly to support Pippen) to completely dismantle Toni when they face Croatia. It had nothing to do with Toni, it was all about Krause. They neither knew, or cared, at those Olympics about Toni Kukoc the person or player. He was simply a mechanism to shade Krause. However, once Toni Kukoc actually joined the Bulls, Pippen and Jordan by every single account, including those from Toni himself, welcomed, assisted, and greatly respected him as a teammate.

Kukoc has a career NBA scoring average of 11.6 points per game. His last four years in the league he averaged 7.6 points per game. His last two years with the Bulls after Jordan left and Kukoc had a chance to lead the team, the team won 13 games the first year and 17 games the next year and the Bulls needless to say, failed to make the playoffs for the first time in years. Kukoc wasn't just overrated, he was highly overrated. What did he do when Jordan left the bulls for two years then retired. NOTHING. What did he do in Milwaukee, NOTHING. What did he do in Atlanta? Once again, NOTHING. Kukoc was in Philly for two years and averaged 10.2 points per game. That ain't even hall of fame numbers in grade school basketball. If one is to analyze the NBA, one would be remiss to ignore the racial aspect, this is the USA where race is very, very important. The NBA is a predominately African-American product that is being marketed to a white American audience. That audience has historically had a problem with accepting anything that is overwhelmingly Black unless it is somehow ameliorated. That is just a fact about the USA. This is why the NBA went to Europe. One would be hard pressed to name 10 American born white NBA players who are of all star quality. This was true of the 1990s, 2000s, and today. So, lets go to Eastern Europe to find the much needed white players, and hey, if they're good, we will promote them as being grrrreat. You can find dozens of former African-American NBA players with stats similar to Kukoc's who aren't considered Hall of Fame caliber players. Kukoc is just one of too many examples of white privilege.

Me , as a European , I consider him as one of the 10-15 best European players in the history. It was a shame that the “Last Dance” documentary contributed so little to him.. A huge huge huge mistake. On contrary, they contributed waaaayyyyy to much to Dennis Rodman. Don’t get me wrong, DR is one of the best Rebounders of the game, but as a basketball player, allow me to say that he wasn’t’ even close to Kukoc..

Kukoc was a very good player, could adapt, could score, was a bit lightweight at first but worked on that side of his game. Was a really useful cog in the Buils machine.

Kukoc preteca modernih visokih igraca , realno bio je ispred svog vremena, sa 211 mogao je bez problema da igra pleja, da danas igra u ovom danasnjem NBA bio bi kandidat za MVP-ja.

The truth is that if it weren't for Toni Kukoc and Steve Kerr sinking shots in Game 7 of the 98' Pacers Vs Bulls series, Jordan would never have won his sixth ring. Kukoc was an offensive powerhouse. It's a shame he had to live in Jordan and Pippen's shadow.

KD would be one of the most deserving players and students if only he wasn't the weakest superstar and with all his problems as a man and (off the court) player. But definitely his player abilities and game studying are a guarantee of elite, especially he wouldn't miss his predecessor.

Kukoc is the definition of a professional he never argues with his coach, always adapts to help the team, passes first instead of stat padding, is never in controversy and respected his elders like MJ. If you want to be a pro model your attitude after him

Ok, there is well-known rivalry between us Serbs and Croats, but listen to me now: Toni Kukoc was probably the greatest and certainly the most gifted European player of his time! And all that compared with such masters of the game, as Vlade Divac, Dino Radja, Dejan Bodiroga, Arvydas Sabonis, Drazen Petrovic, Sarunas Marculionis...etc. Kukoc was a perfect all-rounder, he was a seven-foot guy who could shoot for three and play as a point guard! He could dribble, he could assist, he was also a prolific scorer and an ultimate clutch performer among all European players. He should be in the Hall of Fame and he should be much, much more recognized from the American basketball fans.

I remember him playing in the Euro League at Jugoplastika and could see this guy had something that other European players just didn't have. Kukoc, Nicos Gallis and Šarūnas Marčiulionis were my favourite European players. You could see they had NBA potential.

You are wrong about not having anything to prove in Europe. I remember he took the loss in the 1993 European Championship final very heavily, crying. He was in Italian club Benetton Treviso but lost to French club Limoges of B.Malkovic, that had the best defense in Europe back then. Previously in the semis they had defeated favorite PAOK from Greece, coached by Dusan Ivkovic and featuring former Bulls champion Cliff Levingston. He wanted to own a European championship before becoming NBA champion, but even he could not defeate that rock defense, lead by Slovenian playmaker legend Juri Zdovc and former 76rs player Michael Young

Its a bummer that, like so many Euro stars that come to the States for the big paychecks, their careers are SPLIT. Tony is like a more athletic, less trash talky version of Larry Bird. Its always the B-Ball IQ that sets them apart. The 'physical' specimen aspect is what he was missing because the NBA is practically as physical as Hockey compared to other leagues, like say in China and Europe.

Good day everyone Used to play with all mentioned Gent's on dvd clip when we were younger 15 onwards. For sure Toni is the best example of all ; talking about manners and human quality generally, so humble person. Hat down for people like Toni. MJ will never achive all those trophies if he didn't have by side Pipen, Rodman and Toni...... Cheers from Dubrovnik Croatia 🇭🇷

If he doesn't get elected to the Naismith HOF, the selection committee would have problems. When Dino Radja (who had shorter career in NBA) is in, Toni is well-deserved, with his European and Chicago Bulls accomplishments, being part of the Big Four in the second three peat, All-Rookie Second Team and winning 6th Man of the Year.
