Invest in a seasoned cast-iron skillet, one where the edges aren't pointing 90-degrees upwards. They're dirt cheap! ... yeah, dirt cheap, but high quality! That way you'll have a much easier time getting the spatula underneath the pancakes and flipping them. ("seasoned", meaning that either oil, shortening, or rendered animal fat has been baked onto the metal, repeatedly, and forms a perfectly non-stick, black surface........... so when you cook something on it, you won't need to use much oil or butter the next time) If the ones you find in the store aren't pre-seasoned, you can just season it yourself......... just wipe some oil onto the pan, bake it on low for an hour.......let it cool completely and then repeat the process several times..... i seasoned my skillet a total of 5, and nothing sticks to it...... not even caramel. And each time i use it, i don't really clean it... i just give it a quick rinse under hot water, wipe it off with a paper towel, and re-season it with whatever oil, butter or shortening i have and just store it in the oven with the heat from the gas pilot light to keep the thing slick.

Olive oil is what things are usually fried in here, yes. There is a butter-like substitute in the house, but it's explicitly not for baking/frying with. Still, I tried once, but it just bubbled, made dramatic sounds and lots of smoke and stuck to the pan, lol.

teach a robot to make pancakes. Have it learn to drop in certain amounts of ingredients, then mix them for a certain length, then cook them for a certain amount of time before flipping them. Then you can try them and give either "good" or "bad" input to the machine. This way you can use machine learning to get the best pancakes ever!

Look, your interests are your business but... don't go around professing to be an "otaku". It comes off badly like how being a "furry" comes off as. Also, cmon, you got a handful of figurines and a copy of the light novel version of Magical Index. That's just a katana collection away from being a weeb.
