WoD basically murders all infantry in its path and it can be cast multiple times in a battle with the only requirement being that you have a caster that's a high enough level to cast it. Summoning Sotek can be used once per fight for 10 turns and takes nearly 100 turns to work towards and all it does is knock over your enemies and tickle them.

CA did not change the name of Tenenhauin. GW did release a miniature called Tenehuini, but in the last Lizardmen Army Book (8th Edition), they already changed the name to Tenenhauin.

S T O L E N M E M E S Yeah, I mean I’m happy for the Skaven since they had the most boring campaigns. Clan Pestilents was the only one I enjoyed, but I don’t play Skaven to play as a bunch of moles with robes. Clan Skryre was a God send from CA, and now I don’t see myself ever playing as the other Skaven ever again. Best Legendary Lord, and actually fun starting position where you can mess with The southern-cuckold realms, Dwarf-things, Orc-things, and once you get real ambitious the Empire, Bretonnia, High Elves. Looks like Lizardmen might take the new mantle of most boring faction sadly 🙁

Im overall a bit sad about this DLC. Great stuff, but tehen feels underwhelming. And the LM are still kind of boring in endgame. Skaven I never liked.. cool stuff they got, but so borderline OP. Played arround 20 Turns with the new skaven lord and it wasnt funny for me. The rocket is OP, the same you could say about the under empire. Once your starting settlement is lvl 3 you are nearly done with new units. Nothing great I was looking forward to. No settlements I would have liked to conquer. And I dont know how to feel about the auto resolve changes for the KI. I guess every campaign wont be the same as another, which is great. But for my tehen campaign it made it pretty boring: No more skaven in Lustria. Only Lizardman I could fight and a few orcs. Where clan mors is.. only Lizardman, so nothing to do there. My only way would be fighting lizardman or going to the DE. I think im done with this campaign. (But I have to say, Im always bored after 50-100 turns.)

Yeah am 167 turns into the campaign and still no snake spell. Fuckin all the lizardmen wiped out everything on Lustria within 50 turns lol. Skaven got wrecked, I killed khalida and high elves, and the southlands are the same. Every race but lizardmen are struggling since I activated the "hey everyone, snake says band together and kill shit" part of the prophecy. Felt like issuing order 66. Plus, I went down the line that buffed skinks thinking MAYBE they'd be strong enough to do something....and so I don't get the +50 sacrifices a turn XD Unless I want to run my ass clear to the opposite end of the map (because of course, killing lizardmen doesn't give sacrifices) I am stuck going around in the ocean, fighting pissant vamp coast armies.

I'm honestly surprised how much I like Tiktakto, it's probably because the rocks that all of flying units get do insane fucking damage, and the enemy is too stupid to move out of the way, and watching the health bars go from full to a quarter with a good hit is so satisfying.

I had a lot of fun with Lizard Moses. Red Created Skanks mulched through rats just fine through the early and mid game, and in the late game he's a decent caster lord on a big dino. Love twee cadence of the video though 🙂

That's a good point, the first time i saw that lizardmen spell that shoots down a pillar of light, scorching a blazing trail on the battlefield, i immediately thought "Hammer of Dawn!" (Which is actually a pun in this context...)

If you want your Tene army to be more effective try mixing your army with a comp of about half Red Crests and Javelin Throwers early. They work really well against the early units in other army's. Just use the Red Crests as a holding force and use the spells Tene has to wipe the enemy army. They do really well overcast as well as the Sotek Bastilladon.

Except that you have a sacrifice that can give Obsinite Miners that can make buildings 15% cheaper to build in ALL regions and 20% reduced upkeep with the Lotl-Botl Spawn Brothers. So free buildings and free armies, a hard start but amazingly powerful if you know what your doing.

Yeah having played them both now, Ikit Claw feels like a god of destruction to play and his new units are very effective as well. Skink guy is a challenge due to where he starts with no real pay off to make it worth it even after the slog of winning past his start.

I played the mortal empire campaign as Tehenhauin and honestly he became one of my favorite lords and campaigns. idk what it was about it but I really enjoyed most of the game. As for the fielding a second army thing its a while to get too but you can get a specific red crested skink lord that if you stack enough buffs on allows you to have zero upkeep

Actually Tehenhauin existed in the Army Books too, since 6th edition I believe. CA didn't change anything. CA should have picked up a copy of the 6th ed Lizardmen army book and adapted the Southlands Army list. You get a lot more skink units in that list than in the standard lizardmen list.

Gotta admit, a couple things were kinda left out. With nee rite and lord buffs, tini-weenie's skinks can go toe to toe with chosen while having near 50 speed, and those salamanders melt rat ogres faster than anything else I've ever seen.

The funny thing is, i really like playing with Skarsnik, and the idea of cheap massed Gobbo armies where you can actually really support your Gobbos through passive abilities. This DLC did not bring that same feeling. there arent even that many skinks as there are goblins to make a skinks only army.

Don't underestimate stacking buffs, events or research.. ;) By turn 100. even my chameleon skinks has over 50 melee attack and defense, 60+ weapon strength, and 80 armour... Did I mention Red Crested also get frenzy? And if you fight in shallow waters, their atk/def increase 100%... Now you can add to this that these are individual stats, and skink units have ~30% more models than saurus… Just test it :D It's fun having an army of speed 42 (?) mini-rambos. Oh and jungle swarm is an excellent support debuff.

My major problem for them is in mortal empires, the servants of chaos second spawn is 7 doom stacks of elites at a time you can only field 2.5 (if you did well in the campaign up too this point) and they ALL come directly for you unless you don't take the awakening, which you have too to fight corruption....

Dragoons? They provide a massive public order bonus. So you garrison them in the hard-to-keep capitals so your actual army can move on.

I totally agree. I played through Ikit Claw in 2 days. But this... I just gave up on lizard moses after 20 minutes, and then returned the next day and played for one hour more and gave up again.

Glad I am not the only one who struggled in his campaign. I couldn't help but remember my experience with Sharsnik and how they compared as they both do the same thing, take that race's crappy low tier fodder unit and try to make them awesome. But Sharsnik is just soooooo much better at this. He is able to buff up his gobbos to the point where they actually win fights. Teenieweenie's skinks get skirmisher and thats it. They could easily fix this with some better Legendary lord buffs and unique skink buffing red tree in the talents, and yeah, buffing the sacrificial tributes. The disparity between Sotek and Ikit's doomrockets is huge. Get some warlock engineer heroes and you can easily steal tech to farm fuel and spam them and they are waaaaaaay more potent. The only really neat thing for the Lizard campaign right now is if you stick with it to tablet 2 he forces all lizardmen and skaven to declare war on each other. Which is sort of neat. But not as fun as nuking an entrenched city from below and destroying both it and whatever army happens to be garrisoned in it.

Tehenhauin is cool cause you can ignore using saurus warriors completely. He has beast lore to empower your downtrodden working class frontline consisting of cohorts, red crested(anti large and armor piercing) , and kroxigors(cleaving through infantry). Add terradons, ripperdactyls, chameleons and salamanders for skirmishing. This will last you until end game armies with ancient salamanders, dread saurians along with the beasts Tehenhauin and your heroes will charge into battle with!

It picks up after turn 80. When you start confederating and lose the skinks it gains momentum. And I enjoy his new late game units but TikTak'To has a much more enjoyable early campaign.

considering the upcoming DLC, i would change the Invocation of Sotek, for a RoR Dread Saurian that is Ethereal with Magical Flaming Attacks and Inmune to Missiles. Just like how you could build a Dread Saurian in table top. Now that is worth the wait!

Idea for a fix, give him Sotek from turn 1 and make it like the Doom rocket, except you need to sacrifice people for doing it, and the more often you used the spell in battle, the more sacrifices you need to gain access to it again (also buff the spell itself by like 1000%)

I agree that Tehenhauins early game is incredibly difficult, but he can get hilariously overpowered with free armies and no buidling cost, which gives the Cult of Sotek the potential to be the strongest lizardmen faction. At least if you want to cheese the game

I learned a while ago there technically is no such thing as "joke characters". When you double-perfect your mate playing Evil Ryu and you're Dan and you pull off the hyper taunt, everything becomes clear. No bad characters, just bad players.
