If the city was 3/4 dead already, then the city will die like a ghost town. Usually in real world scenarios something big and massive like an airport, or a bunch of automotive manufacturer plants, will end up destroying its surrounding land value, and reputation. Closing out alot of places nearby it. Cuz then those places end up suffering to. In a game (Cities Skyline's) if that happens, the Sims will have no work, can't pay they're tax's and abandoned there homes, or become homeless in the city. Especially if the weekly income is 10 times far more negative then the holding population.

I play this on PS4 so I’m not sure what the controls will be on a PC. But the Destroy option has its own mini menu to narrow down what it deletes and also the size of the circle. I know it has the General, Abandoned Building Only, I think it has a Trees Only and also one more that I can’t think of. I imagine the PC has the same menu in the vanilla game. Should be the same way you chose the road paths like straight or free form.

Da hast du aber ein Projekt gestartet. Eine Baustelle realistisch aussehen zu lassen ist sehr schwer :o Außerdem ist der BER ja so halb fertig (so viel ich weiß sind Rundway und Taxiways schon vorhanden). Also baut man einen ganzen Flughafen und reist ihn teilweise wieder ein.

I found a great spot for this (with high amount of trees), built great intersections to my motorway, placed a specific District for this, built a special small residential zone far out, but more than that - I even connected it to public transport, to make poorer citizens go there. I was even increasing amount of trees to make the forest there more dense. It's also worth adding, that I had a very high industrial demand. And what? *No one built anything there for over an hour! There are also zones in which no one had built anything to this day!*

There's a few things that the modder didn't do right. 1. Not all terminals work. There's a lot of older terminals that were broken by updates to the modular airports mod. 2. There's a lot more detail work that can be done. Service roads, security fencing, a full cargo terminal, etc.

Tho, I'm (Used to be) somewhere between Pro and Modder. I once built every airport the vanilla game provided and connected them via taxiways, then built every transport buildings around it. But in the end I never managed to complete it. To be honest, I used Unlock All (And no unlimited money) for that. Will be trying to do that in my current, 'serious' save. BTW I hate plane props but I used every plane (The functional ones, no props) from all the "Better Planes Pack" in place of the wannabe A380 (If you look closely at the vanilla Jetliner, it's a double decker). All because of variety and I'm an aviation enthusiast. Really liking to see a more detailed A380, 747, 757, 707, A330, A320, etc. BTW again the vanilla cargo plane is an Antonov An-124. Take a closer look. At least it looked more accurate and better compared to the Jet Plane (That's the jetliner's name in the Asset Editor).

For airports I tend to place the roads as far as possible to allow for airport lights to be placed, for some extra realism. And no trees near airports! Birdstrikes are imminent and is non compliant to FAA regulations

In defense of Noob, he built a nice, straightforward, convenient municipal airport that would be a joy to use. Pro had to resort to an international airport to improve upon it. Modder built his airport interchange too close to the existing interchange. Don't take it personally when the game doesn't do what you think it should. Investigate what you did wrong and fix it. Computers, no matter how much we want to believe otherwise, have no human emotions. They're completely objective. They treat all players the same. They don't hate you, they just don't understand you and you don't understand them.

You have to accept an minimum of 30 minutes to load a save if the game is heavily modded. Theres much room to the top tho. I am using 13000 assets and 400 mods and it takes an hour to load the save game. So to awnser your question: The game is shit from the start because DLCs put more pressure on performance then any mod. Game is not made for huge realistic simulations. If you have low FPS and play with that often you will get used to it. Anything above 5 fps is smooth in a heavy modded save 😉

The type who builds a 3 km runway and has like 20 custom terminal buildings. I don't even use the custom airport buildings mod. I just use the Touch This! mod by Klyte. When connecting taxiways, use Move It! to check that the taxiways are in fact, connected. Just use the marquee selection tool and make it only select nodes. Then, see how many objects are selected at every junction. More than 1 at a junction and you need to redo that part.

Only advice, don't have too many runways that each runway isn't a bit congested
