White american here and yes asian food is superior! lol I grew up in the most white bread american eating household, no one in my family liked much variety but I was different. The first time I tried chinese food, I was hooked and curious to try everything asian I could. As a vegan now, it's a staple in my house and for take out. Asian food and your channel is what helped me and my husband go vegan 3 years ago!

If you come to Bali or any city in Indonesia I would reccomend you to try seblak. If you can't find the vegan version you can ask to not use egg, mi telor (egg noddles), siomay, batagor, Royco/Masako (two of seasoning brands in Indonesia), and other nonvegan toppings. ❤️

💯! ASIAN FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! Cauae most of the time it relies on veggies, is super flavorful and texturally satisfying but w/out your belly feeling like you've just dined on edible cement (I love Med/ Mid-Eastern food for the same reason) I WOULD try to name all of my fave Asian dishes, but the list is too long

Jamaican food - plant based is hard to find except the veggies & greens and the fruit to die for. Jerk tofu is da bomb 👊🏾 & yes I love Asian food it’s the best plant based food I’ve had. There’s an Asian restaurant called Veggie Heaven and it is heavenly - all Asian food made from plants - you name it they have it & best sushi ever 😋 loved the video, thank you 🙏🏽

Rose mentioned Asian restaurants (...the actual Asian culture) being very skilled at making "mock" meats (...cooking with tofu) plus/and the Buddhist dietary preferences concerning vegetarianism. So It makes sense that Asian vegan / Asian vegetarian foods are usually the best tasting because of their long time history of cooking that way. Rose is right...

Hi Rose! American living in Finland here, Asian food reigns supreme no matter where you are, lol. Finnish food unfortunately is not very good, and the vegan food is even worse overall. We try to eat Asian food of all kinds as much as possible, especially at this little Vietnamese restaurant chain here called VG Wok. Most of what we make here at home is also Asian food, followed by Tex-Mex. Definitely going to look into this Indonesian food, it looks incredible! Especially those skewers! 🤤

No, because I crave asian food on a daily basis (I'm Jamaican). While I love my cultures cuisine, it's a lot less time consuming, depending on the dish. Plus the amount of veggies that are in the dishes brings a type of serotonin to my brain that I can't explain.

Yes it is kinda crazy how we all accept that 2-3 weeks holidays is good enough for a full year. I’ve been self employed for 6 years and I’ve forgotten that 2 weeks is the standard. I’m just blown away. I definitely take more than that lol. Always makes me sad that others can’t take more time off.

I am an American. I live just outside of Savannah, Georgia. Most employers here do not offer vacation or sick time. I do work for a decent company. After a year, I got 40 hours of vacation, and after 6 months, I was able to use my phone and paid sick leave. Most Americans are extremely underpaid. underpaid. Most do not even make a livable wage, and all we hear is raise minimum wage. Ppl don't understand when that happens. Everything else goes up. I'd wish we were like Europe.

Where I live you can't trust when an Asian restaurant says something is vegan. I have no idea why... A place across the street from me had "vegan pho with beef broth" on their menu. I asked "is it vegan beef broth?" nope. They just didn't think the broth counted. Most Asian restaurants have a "vegetarian" menu but in my experience (and many other local vegans) when I ask about ingredients, I'm told the dishes contain fish sauce... even when they go back to check with the chef/owner/whoever. I also very rarely cook Asian food because it's hard to find recipes where I have all the ingredients & it's a much longer drive to get to an Asian market... Then when I get there I don't even know what I'm looking at. My go-to meals are tacos, pizza, spaghetti, burgers, quinoa bowls, and Indian curry. However, if there were more vegan options here or I had a personal chef- I'd definitely be eating more Asian food.

I am as Caucasian as you can get and not a week goes by that we don't have an Asian or Asian-inspired dish. And usually at least twice. Korean food is #1 here, too. I have to cook for non-vegans and Asian-style cooking is very easy to do with less effort than most other cuisines.

If we're going to be 100% honest in reality I can say with all due respect that I don't really crave it... There is only 3 dishes I like 2 of which I can barely eat now. Plus here in America asian food especially is trending or seen as trendy especially sushi, pho, poke, Korean bbq so it's become unreasonable expensive than it should be. So yeah mostly I just want my own cultural food.
