I have a 2019 Indian Springfield 111 in a lovely Metallic gray and Burgandy. Added stage 1 exhaust and intake, rumbles real nice, pulls great, and I still get 48 - 52 MPG on average if I don't cruise like a maniac. I love this frickin bike!

I love the Springfield. I've been saying that the Challenger is my next bike but the Springfield might take its place.

I picked up a 2019 back in May for $17,450, with the sissybar and passenger back rest, Indian handlebar bag and V&H Turn-Downs, right off the showroom floor. Lowers are a must. Takes the buffeting down to nothing. Could practically light a cigarette if you smoked. As far as new models, I believe they have some patents in the works for what I would call a sport touring bike. Appears to be styled like a Gold Wing as far as the fairing...just more of an angular look as opposed to the rounded, smooth look. That's all I'm aware of.
@NoogaCowboy4 жыл бұрын
Nice price!! I'm very interested to see how Indian evolves their lineup.
@axslinger994 жыл бұрын
@@NoogaCowboy I should mention, due to my wife being a veteran, they gave us $700 in accessories. But, that was the price with the turn-downs on it. Being it was, "last year's model", it was discounted.

Love the retro look. It is a bit too shiny but the blacked out one, to me looks wrong. You're either retro or you're not. Nickle would be better I think.
@NoogaCowboy4 жыл бұрын
I can understand that. Some prefer a pure retro look. I can dig it.

Haven't looked at any Indians in person, but like the looks of the Scout Bobber and the Springfield Dark Horse even though I really am not a "bagger" looks person. I ride a Triumph Street Triple 765R. I will be moving to the Chattanooga area in a few years from Coomie CA.

Wow! That's a great video. The overall design of Harley-Davidson is so cool. Especially when you're driving, the bike's stable and the exhaust sound is good. I'm glad to be a friend of your great channel. Have a happy end of the year with your family. 👍👍🤝🤝🤝🤙🤙👌

Great review and nice motorcycle. They are a bit more expensive than a Harley here in the UK. Thanks
@NoogaCowboy4 жыл бұрын
What motorcycles dominate the UK market? Is Harley near the top?
@markhenry1924 жыл бұрын
@@NoogaCowboy Aside from the sports bike crowd I would think BMW, Triumph are popular. Harley are big as well along with Japanese retro style bikes. Only ever seen one Indian out. Thanks for the reply.

Would like to see a figure 8 comparison of the different models. A 25 degree rake should be awesome around parking lots and u-turns. My 2001 Chief has a 36 degree rake and takes some real estate to turn around.

That would be very interesting to see. Maybe, I can start including that in my videos. Probably not. "The Box" from the safety course still haunts me. Lol.

Nice looking and I like the fenders. Exhaust sounds right, but don't like the engine noise I'm hearing, most probable it will get louder with more miles. The 2018 chieftain I rode had poor brakes, and a horrible positioned and God awful looking kickstand kickstand anything less than 29inch inseam, you better get help..and.did you notice the power drop after 4k rpm? That's about 80 mpr..how about that front brake reservoir? It's a beauty..aye..ten gallon hat tall..lol

There are some things the Indian can improve on. Totally agree with you on the kickstand. Not a big deal to me but could be for others.

Ok, a few questions. It looks like the bike has 2 gas caps? What about the controls for the flashers? Are they like on a Honda or a Harley? What about the seat height for short people?
@NoogaCowboy4 жыл бұрын
I believe the 2nd cap is purely cosmetic. The flashers are on the left controls. It is one switch. Push to the left for left blinker, push to right for right blinker. Push in to turn off blinkers. As far as short people fitting on the bike it just depends on how short. I think it will depend on their comfort level as well. The best way to determine this is to go and sit on one. Thanks for the questions.

How would you compare the springfeild to the challenger? Also which do you think would be better for larger riders?
@NoogaCowboy4 жыл бұрын
The Challenger feels like a smaller bike. It has the maneuverability of a Scout which is very impressive. The technology and power of the Challenger will impress you. The Springfield is a quality bike as well. It has the old school look that many people love and it's no slouch when it comes to raw performance numbers. If you want the bells and whistles with plenty of power go with the challenger. If you want good power but enjoy the "retro" look go with the Springfield. I think a larger person would be comfortable on both of these bikes but I'd probably lean toward the Springfield. Hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the channel and ride safe!

Did they seriously start using the Vintage frame on the Springfield? Man, that sucks! I test rode them both back-to-back a while ago and the Springfield felt significantly better than the Vintage. So much so that I went and asked a sales guy how they were different because, at that time, I didn't know they used different frames and assumed it was the same bike with different trim.

Yep. I think you'll find they continue to be a very comfortable ride.

How would you say it compares to hd softail and/road king?

Have not rode a soft tail. One thing that stands out with the Springfield is the smooth ride. Also, less vibration than the road king. It has been a minute since I rode the Road King. From what I remember, everything else was comparable.

Cross Country? have ridden my Springfield across the USA North South and East West and Canada and now Australia. Yes I think you can cross countries lol! Pass on Asia however! The Springfield is best on decent roads especially when heavily loaded. Nice review. Ps have ridden through full on huge storms and the stability of this bike to stand up to terrible cross winds is staggering. Massive polar mass.
