Played about 10 hours, definitely a bit of a learning curve on this one. That first winter can be really brutal depending on your map, you gotta absolute have food and heating figured out or you can very easily lose livestock or elder family members.

Hopefully you'll continue this game, when you do, see if you can discover stone fireplaces that you can put into rooms with vents, that will keep your rooms warm during winter.

I always do Orphans or similar if it's available in a game, and it was hard! I didn't survive my first winter, but I can't wait to play more tonight. I really enjoy the premise, looking forward to updates!

OK Nook, I know you've been burned by fires before, BUT, ya know, a very common thing to make places hot is, a FIREPLACE??? You got it very early on and dismissed it--would really heat up the mountain, assuming you can keep it fed with logs or sticks or whatever. (I mean, going to put the animals in, yeah, just need tons more. ;-) Then every time you thought to yourself, HEY! I need this iron in the mountain! Or right near the end where you joined the smelter and kitchen--CHECK THE ROOF! That's where your holes are coming from. NO DIGGY holes without a roof check! Finally, if the dev sees this, caves are like 57F year round, summer, winter, whenever. It's why early people went into them! So a mountain should be similarly insulated, even with needing roofs when mined out.

@@BearOnTheMoon why would he care about rimworld Clanfolk is Unique without Rimworld. RImworld dont have some mechanics like Clanfolk, like life stages system, working community and its needs. Rimworld is colonybiulder you are big dictator who tell every step how to live. In Clanfolk there is free will, if someone dosent want to do they will not do it

@@BearOnTheMoon Yes there is thousands mods and there is basegame. after all you buy base game, and then you develop mods as you see fit to tailor your pesonal experiance. Myself think RImworld Basgame is totally boring even with DLCs, but to add there hundreads of mods you make experience that is worth replay. And still there is not mods for everything, code possibiltis are limited or people skills are limited. And thats Why Clanfolk Shoulnt be CLone of Rimworld but something Unique
