As a Lithuanian, I'm so jealous of Estonia because Eesti Laul is always so good 😅 anyways, even though I didn't get the hype about Tommy at first, I now listen to his song multiple times every day and he's my new winner. But I also absolutely love Andrei feat. Karita, Janek, Elysa, Felin, An and Minimal Wind (and Felix if he gets the wildcard) 🇱🇹❤️🇪🇪

so here are some picks for Estonia: Andrei & Karita - "Ma ei tea sind" - It could be High risk High reward moment if they really invest into the staging. Im a little worried about the effects on the vocals and I think it would be in the middle of the scoreboard both for juries and the televote if it goes to ESC. It has many things stacked against it and for the duo it would be doing Eurovision on a hard mode. Minimal Wind - "Armageddon" - This could be a jury moment. I am scared that it will be hyped up by the fans and end up with 5 points in the televote just because it doesnt give enough shock value or pow. Its a very good song but Estonia might NQ if it gets a bad running order or would be put next to a favourite. But nonetheless it would still be talked about and respected amongst the community, maybe add a new flavour to eurovision. Ant - "Tomorrow never comes" - This has Sweden written all over it for me and maybe for him its a good thing cause it can do top-10 with the juries and maybe top-15 with the public. This entry does strongly depend on the staging so its hard to predict at the moment but my gut feeling tells me that it might not do as well as some people think just because its another male ballad about broken love etc. Janek - "Frozen" - also has a jury potential and because it has that pretty and memorable melody it could even get some points from the public. I think that recreating that futuristic city theme would not be a good idea and its better to create something a bit more original or related to the song so that viewers could be drawn in and understand the meaning of the song better. At Eurovision you have to be remembered and Janek's timid and calm nature might make him less memorable. It would heavily rely on a good running order. But if this entry gets The Code level staging then it can actually give us a surprise top-10 just like Alika in 2023 Tommy Cash - "Espresso Macchiato" - i dont like it that much but I feel like it could do better than many people think cause it has that nostalgic sound vibe going on that can get him some points from 40+ audience and the wine moms army. This could be the full package but there is a risk that he would stage it the same way as his music video just to shock everyone cause we all expect a big staging from him. I really need to see it live so that I could make my mind up regarding this entry. But so far it could be closest to the full package and of course we have to be ready for a low jury score. All the rest are also good, some songs are really nice and perfect for my playlist but they either represent something that has already been done many times at eurovision or they try to have that crazyness but on a budget. Some have cringey lyrics and others have singers that dont have a good track record when it comes to performing their songs live.

To be really honest as an Italian "espresso macchiato" bothers me. I'm not offended but yes, i'm bothered. I still don't understand why making fun of italian steretypes is so accepted and normilized. And let me tell you one thing, italians are not easily offended but there is ONE THING that DEEPLY offend us, and it is the when in the usual italian stereotypes the mafia is thrown in so lightly. We DON'T LIKE to be associated with that so lightly minded. Tell me, if it was a song full of arabic stereotypes, sang in broken arabic and with a mocking fake arabic accent, ending with "that's why i'm sweating like a ter**rist" would have been something accettable? NO IT WOULD NOT. Esc 2021 ending with "see you in the land of pizza and sambuca", Maneskin being interviewed all around the world and 90% of the times the intervies were about how to pronounce mozzarella instead of talking about their music, and so on and so on. All, good, all fine, no problem but now it's getting out of hand. Now one of the candidate to represent a country in Eurovision is a song full of stereotypes (even offensive) of another country. And NOBODY say anything, even the Esc community that normally is so sensitive about those kind of things, on the opposite, it is one of the fans favourite. Some of you is able to explain me WHY? Do we really look like clowns to you? And if it get selected for Esc just wait until italian populist parties and media will found out about it. Look at them using it as a trigger for their populist propaganda.. "europe doesn't respect us!!" Yeah, all we need in Esc is just a brand new big drama... MUSIC UNITES US... yeah, right. If that song wins and the Ebu Board accept it as it is in the contest i'm finally DONE with Eurovision.

Interesting that you would say that. I can get, how this may bother some, and offend others, but i think that is not at all the point of Tommys' song. I think, what it is trying to do, is have a bit of a shock value and most of all, carry subtle humor in it's generic sense, i think the world over, has lost its sense of humor, with the cancel culture and everything offending everyone. The song is also paying homage to the 70', and 80's Italian pop-music, which was very big all over, including Estonia. I can't tell you what to feel, but maybe try and look at it through purely humor prizm, like there's actually nothing to read between the lines and no dig at Italians or Italian culture.

EM is definitely not the best song of the selection, not even top-3. But we know people really have a soft spot for quirky, troll-esque acts recently so obviously Tommy Cash is an option. But after Estonia had their homegrown stars-fun moment with 5minust last year, i feel that it would be the best to serve something classier and more interesting musically to Eurovision than EM. If i were Estonian, i would vote for Minimal Wind or ANT. Both songs with depth, great replay value and production, superb melodies that stick with you and of course strong vocalists. And for once, Estonia... Please, don't choose blindly the most popular name of the line-up. Listen to the songs and vote for the best live act.

And you say you don't choose blindly, but you've already made your mind that you'll vote for him before even seeing everyone's live performance. You proved me right so effortlessly. Don't get me wrong, it's clear that he has a reputation and of course that's a great achievement. But songwise it's not it, and you know it. For an artist of his calibre, the song is really mediocre and irrelevant. Of course he can elevate that live so let's wait and see. I'll say it again though, i hope in the end you will vote for the best live performance. If Tommy has it, then all good. If someone else is the best live, then he/she/they should be picked.
