I just came across videos on “facial harmony” and in the video they were rating people’s looks based off of face shape, eye shape, nose, hair texture etc. You definitely have to have self confidence because following these beauty standards will have you feeling terrible about yourself.

When it comes to how others see me, I've learned to "consider the source". If I know the person is shallow, or stupid, and bases their desires on the futile and fleeting standards of "the world" I don't care what they think. I also learned I'm not for everybody, and everybody is not for me. Whether that's my looks, my personality, my financial status, my accomplishments. People associate with whom they want to based on those factors but what I will not allow in my life is for someone to disrespect me because in their mind I don't meet a certain standard especially a superficial one. That is where I draw the line. Morally, yes expect more of me, work ethic yes, expect more of me, fitness and health yes expect more of me, but respect where I am when you see I'm working towards better and I will do the same for you.

Yes allow the Holy Spirit to shift how you view yourself. A lesson that took me into my adulthood to understand. I was also bullied in school. My self esteem had been so low and I had view of who I was . But God was no daughter you are made in my image. God didn’t make a mistake. I thank God that I believe the truth of what His word says. My negative self talk is so bad. I cry. Cuz the first thing I think about the second I wake up is , you’re ugly; no one will love your big nose; your hair is short and nappy.
