In this video I go over everything I carry on my bush belt

That's a hefty looking puukko, practically up to a leuku -- looks like a nice compromise for carrying only one knife, and looks beautifully made. Like the set-up, which is similar to one I've been working on, though I lean toward another pouch or two rather than having my ferro rod, etc. dangling. Just personal preference on that.

I really like the belt kit. Very nice leather work, which is something I appreciate. It seems a bit too much for my own tastes, but to each their own. I just don't personally llike things dangling. Tends to get caught on brush all the time here. One tip I can offer if you hate your axe handle hitting your leg is to slip it through the back of your belt diagonally. Completely out of the way, and readily at hand. Keep up the great videos!

Cool. Nice to see some people still like leather as much as ballistic nylon or kydex. It's all good. I'd probably carry a bit more, but I like the belt idea. Easy to have at home, in vehicles and to wear in all types of weather. Backpacks are nice and necessary sometimes, but they can get annoying.

Of course I love your awesome belt & all the quality gear attached to it. Great little axe but spendy up here in Canada. (almost $200 if you can find one) Beautiful knife & excellent choice of compass. My real question however concerns your Anorak. I'm really digging it & would like to know the manufacturer/brand name, cost (if that isn't too nosey) & where you got it please. Also, is it a shell or is it lined? Thank-you in advance for any info you can offer. Cheers. *Edit: Just found your channel & subscribed.

+Heathen Bushcraft I've looked into those small folding saws a lot, and I just don't see the appeal of a saw with a 6-8" blade. You can't really get through anything thick with it. I do love to have a saw though, I agree with that. Especially in winter. I usually carry either my 21" or 30" bowsaw with me, depending on how cold it is. The colder it gets, the bigger my axe and saw. Have a good one man!

Very nice gear. I agree with your philosophy of use for all the items that you have. I would suggest that you put one longer bag to carry your survival items. I made a similar belt and I also made a survival bag to go with it. If you care to see it you can check it out on my channel. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Geoff, how are you doing. You did a few vids on the Salkoa survival kits. On one of them you show a set you have, that had a condor belt, a Esee Janglus you survival pouch with the Solkoa kit in it with some other gear. I can't find the vid as I want to make one like that. Can you tell me if it's been removed. Hope you are well. Take care. Craig. 🇮🇲

love the videos - gorgeous gear. But, call me jealous or what, - the price tag on the gear for your belt is borderline glamping. I really ultimately am just super jealous, but the seemingly endless videos of "ruck dumps" that have top of the line Swedish watermarked everything make me literally embarrassed of my setup - one that I've taken pride in spending nearly nothing on. I really love your demeanor, however. It's clear you're well versed in your element and I will continue to watch! cheers from Western MA!

If it keeps time, it's a good watch. Or a better analogy for this situation, if it holds your pants up, it's a good belt. The most expensive item on my belt kit is my knife. It's a Ka-Bar, and it cost sixty dollars. I love knives. I really love beautiful, expensive, custom knives, but for work, for staying alive, I'd rather have a Ka-Bar than any other knife on the planet. Had I been willing to wait a couple of weeks, I could have bought a Ka-Bar in mint condition for thirty dollars. I've seen used Ka-Bars in perfect shape go for as little as twenty dollars on eBay. My belt is very heavy duty leather. It cost a hundred dollars new, but I got this one used, and it cost six dollars, even though it's in perfect shape. There isn't a scratch on it. Check local gun shops. Many of them take duty belts, and even war belts and battle belts, on trade, and can build up so many they can't begin to sell them all. That's what happened to me. The gun shop had a hundred and fifty or so used belts of various kinds, so finally threw them all in a large bin and stuck an eight dollar price tag on them, regardless of type or condition. When they still didn't sell fast enough, they knocked twenty-five percent off everything. The pouches on my belt look like brand new, custom made items. They're really military surplus. Well, they are new because they were never issued, but they cost ten How about a one hundred and thirty dollar tomahawk for thirty dollars? When people get tired of owning something, they often sell it cheap. Especially if they need some quick cash. On and on. The cos doesn't matter. As long as the gear does the job, it's good gear.
