"I try not to pass gas on a trip like this, but sometimes it happens." Delivered with straight face. Perfect! Seriously, I like that you are not continually trying to get in trouble to raise the drama, as so many vloggers do. Your experiences are relatable and your attitude is just right for me. Keep up the good work and don't worry about passing gas.

I lived in Nimpo from the year I was born, 1996 until 2010. Which store if you don't mind me asking? The one right off of highway 20 on that short straight stretch overlooking Nimpo Lake? We had a Nimpo general store/gas station with a small hotel attached. I'm hoping that's the one you are talking about, since your parents would have been my next door neighbours as a child!

Canada has such beautiful and stunning scenery and the people you meet seem so friendly and helpful. An awesome trip, so well documented. In my 70’s, my riding has been severely affected by Cancer, meaning an hour “in the saddle” is about as much as ai can mange due to pain and fatigue, so trips like yours are just a dream for me at the moment. So following you on your adventures is greatly appreciated and gives me incentive to try to ride a little longer each time I’m well enough to fire my Himalayan up - and my panniers are already packed with essential camping gear for the time I eventually beat this “thing” and can really hit the road again. Great videos, I look forward to checking my “feed” every morning when I wake up, for your next Vlog 😃👍. Safe travels and a safe return home. Cheers from OZ 😀🇦🇺👍

Glad you got some great weather on the trip! Did a road trip there/back 4 years ago on my FJR. For those considering doing the same, be wary of the 40km from Anahim to the top of the hill when raining on street tires. Thankfully, the hill itself is so well maintained that it's almost trivial. If you have a fear of heights, you'll be reminded of it again but it's doable. 10/10, would do again. Sterling, I've been watching this trip in anticipation of both the ferry and this section and love it! Thanks for sharing, as always!

You did well on the vid. It is a beautiful place. So glad you made it up the hill. I wonder where it was. Lot of fairly high altitude farming. Different kind of place. Fun ride. I have a couple friends who have a professional guide service in that area. Lot of giant bears along the logging roads in the high country and all over depending on the time of year. Just maintain safety and a presence of mind that they are always nearby. Be ready.

Sterling, good call to have stopped at the Inn in Tatla Lake. Good food is few and far between on the road between Bella Coola and Williams Lake. “The Hill” is no big deal in dry weather. A bit anti-climatic… However, you missed some fabulous camping just south of Tatla Lake at a couple of lakes called Chilko and Tatlayoko. Spectacular scenery! Highly recommended for ADV bikes.

Great videos! You have been very fortunate with the weather on your bike trip. I grew up in Southeast Alaska and spent a lot of time motorcycle riding in British Columbia during my late teenage years. When I was 20, in 1993, I embarked on a solo 20,000+ mile motorcycle trip from Alaska, around the United States, and it was a summer I will never forget. I then spent 10 years in Arizona where I traveled on almost every highway in the state and also did a lot of dirt biking. I finally settled down in a ski town in the Colorado Rockies. Due to family life, I have been out of the motorcycle scene for a few years, except for occasional rides on a friend's bike. Your videos have inspired me to get back into adventure riding and I am looking forward to picking up a new BMW next week. I also produce videos and am excited to take them to the next level on my KZbin channel. Have a great day and keep up the good work!

I was in Bella Colla in '07 on my '05 GS. I rode in - rode out (sadly could not secure a ferry) It is certainly a very special place. Funny anecdote - I stopped in to get some local salmon Sushi (in Salmon country) Sadly they were OUT... If you check the history of how the road came to be in 1953. Private citizens that owned a couple Catepillars started cutting a goat path from each end & met in the middle. Before that the only way of getting to Bella C was by ferry. And from what I recall - Not much improvement has been done since the 50's. Likely due to very very little traffic.
