Lol. 757 is ok. 804 is way better in terms of things to do if you don't want to go to the beach every day. Norfolk is ok. I live here now. The military and industry take up to much real estate and land that could be used for housing or recreation. Not to mention the projects are right in the middle of the city. It's hard to run on the streets without accidentally ending up in the projects or another blighted neighborhood

My wife's grandmother who is almost 100 years old lives there. I love going there. I live in Petersburg VA.
After going through numerous videos of yours,(Charlie). You have really captured what our America is! And I’ve also realized how compact our existence is. Blocks and blocks of projects and low income cramped quarters. We own so little land. I love the videos and how raw they are, and then I start to realize minuscule our land ownership is. You’ve covered sooo much of black hoods
@galaxytraveler57794 жыл бұрын
You don't really own any of it technically, the city does. That is exactly what they want more of. everyone cramped in together in 'Smart Cities' blanketed by 5G weaponry.
@UzumakiNaruto_4 жыл бұрын
@Chicdaburgh One Do blacks in America really have it that bad? 'Projects and cramped quarters'? There's hundreds of millions of people in the world living in busted up shacks and are sleeping on dirt floors with straw mats with no electricity or running water that would look at these places and think it was paradise if they were lucky enough to live there.
Actually he just circled around and through the same project. Looks like blocks and blocks, but that area really isn't that large. Notice he went in front of and later around the back of the same school that sits near what's actually an alley.

Tidewater Park looks so quiet compared to how it was in the 80's and 90's. I have also been reading that the city of Norfolk approved for the housing project to be demolished in the next 10 years. I feel bad for all the people that live out there.

I grew up in Norfolk and thought I had an idea of what a bad area looked like. That all changed when I took a job in Kansas City and moved there. There are people living in conditions that I simply could not do justice to describe if I tried. Whole neighborhoods that stretch for miles of unmowed yards, holes in roofs, broken down cars all over the place, missing windows, and yes, people still live there. Norfolk by comparison is the garden of Eden. After having been gone for 20+ years and now returning, Norfolk has improved considerably from when I grew up here.

I'm moving to Norfolk this coming June from Illinois. Bf is military. I really need to learn which areas are okay and which might be a little sketchy as I'm and uber eats driver. I know nothing of any neighborhoods.

This is majorly the downtown area of Norfolk. The closer you are to the bases the better the area. This video literally shows you the worst of the worst which I would say only accounts for a small percentage of Norfolk. You also can be in Virginia Beach within minutes which has bad areas as well but overall is decent and family friendly.
In Norfolk & Portsmouth the Heroin comes in clear capsules that you buy at GNC. In Newport News & Hampton the dope comes in the usual wax bags with the stamp.
