I wish Norm would tell more Drake stories, no one better to do that than him.
@matthewgriffith73023 жыл бұрын
On the Dennis Miller Show, they tell Drake stories. Norm told this story but instead of “getting on bus” it was “picking up change”. Then Dennis told the story of Drake mocking Jay Leno’s advice to young comedians of “always tell your best jokes”- Drake’s response was “ Thanks Jay, but I already have a father”

This video deserves a mention of the great late Norm Macdonald in the description, just so the algorithm can find this clip when people search for Norm. It’s a historic relic.

NewsRadio was the best sitcom and Norm is the best comedian, now I see the connection
@jairkerker28213 жыл бұрын
I never came across a better one, it's not funny for a sitcom, it's _actually funny._ I love everything about it, even Jon Lovitz is somewhat bearable. Awesome, awesome talent all over. And Norm is my favorite comedian too par none. Coincidence, I think not.

@@jairkerker2821 "even Jon Lovitz is somewhat bearable" paragraph 3 of my eulogy
@jairkerker28213 жыл бұрын
@@rogermaris5 You had your eulogy written in advance, or better yet written it yourself? If you made it a two-hander, you could make my dream come true and let me and my ventriloquist dummy Rupert deliver it. Rupert, cause it's a funny name. Seriously though, NewsRadio (you like the show so much you even spelled it correctly, without the dash and including the capital R) is still an unparalelled imagined world. Even the guest parts that would normally suck were great: Jon Stewart, Patrick Warburton, Brad Rowe, Norm off coarse and yes, in "Jumper" (the pre-theme music bit is a roller coaster) even Lovitz is pretty good. Damn, even the commentary tracks are a blast. Phil's death ruined the show for a long period, it was just too confusing to watch it, laughing turning into a crippling sadness, especially with Bill talking about his crazy girlfriend, but it's back where it belongs: top shelf and entirely on it's own. Congratulations on your excellent taste good sir, cudo's and cudo's again.
