Norm Duke is considered a legend in the sport of Bowling and captured his first title at the age of 18! He has an iconic "Duuuuuuuuke" the crowd yells when he throws the ball on PBA TV Shows.
Duke has 40 PBA Tour among other major international awards. He has earned, to date, over $3.600,000 at the PBA Tour alone. Norm bowls for Storm Bowling.
Norm Duke has also 73 PBA Career Perfect 300 Games! How about that?
He has been at the PBA since 1982 and still gets titles teaching everyone how it's done.

Parker Bohn 3rd, Brian Voss, Don Carter[RIP], Mike Aulby, Chris Barnes, Lisa Wagner, Johnny Petraglia, // Future Goats are Jason Belmonte, Kyle Troup, Jesper Svenson, [ Meant to mention Patrick Allen] and so many Greats [ Nelson Burton Jr.] . I left a bunch of greats out. Many factors, such as injuries denying players a chance to keep having tremendous seasons, and other factors make picking players difficult!!!!!

Arguably the smoothest bowler that ever lived. He didn’t need the “big hook” to become a hall of fame bowler. My favorite bowler of all time!

No, he's proof you don't need high revs to throw the big hook. He hooks the lane if he thinks that's the best line. His 1994 season was mostly him hooking the lane. Watch him vs. Robert Smith in the 1994 AC Delco classic. Smith, the "king of revs," gets badly out-hooked by Duke.

This is so simple. Hand behind the ball and quarter rotation at release. A lot of the current styles are not sustainable as we age. How many 2 handers do you see over 40?

He comes up the side of the ball more. I’ve seen hundreds of videos showing how the big benders release and “pros” release the ball? There’s really not much difference. Kind of splitting hairs?

That just goes to show you that you don't necessarily MUST do it one way or the other. Preferably, you do what the lanes are asking you for. That's called versatility. That's why Norm is of the greatest ever. He is super versatile and repetitive!💪🏼

Adaptable and versatile are key words, when describing the Duke. In my book one of the greatest of all time. You almost never meet a humble and polite gentleman like him, in Elite sports. Norm "The Wee Iceman/Giant" Duke fan forever.☮️ ❤️ 🎳

So Norm is one of the last of the Mohicans. What I mean by that is one of the last Pro bowlers to still use a 6 step approach. I use a 6 step approach when I need a little more ball speed. You hardly see the 6 step approach anymore. 99% of the bowlers in the PBA are all doing a 5 step.
