Norm's comedy was actually brilliant and ingenious because they came in Long stories where he remembered everybody's parts.. Like telling the story about the railway guy who like to beat up on homeless people and how the pig ended up being his wife.. Actually a very long joke requiring memory of said people what they were doing what was going on around them.. And then his flat Affleck in the way that he told it was actually when made it that way it was the punch and a kick all at the same time.. Norm was definitely one of a kind may, he rest in peace..

Man, his bit on playing Scrabble with Old Harold is a thing of beauty. He was among a handful of completely original, totally unique comics. I listen to these compilations and laugh out loud as I’m driving. What a gift; to be able to make people laugh without resorting to the cheap tricks most commonly employed by comics these days. No wonder they all admire him so much. I hope he found peace and comfort through God in his last days.

I would have asked old Harold Delaney how long he’s played scrabble and the tell him about the blanks and say you musta thrown out the directions which state the lowest score wins. You see the strategy is to get the other players pushed to the high point area so they are forced to use their letters. Which is the reason there’s always one person walking behind everyone to whisper words they see on your letter holder. Then say oh I get it, you play to score high to be nice for your guests to win.
