Cheers to the true fans who had these recordings and sat on them as not to screw up jokes norm was working out. Lots of these are coming out after his death. I got to see him in 2019 and most of the material was brand new

Thanks man. That's 100% my thought process on this. Same with bands. I won't release anything I record until after their tour, if at all. The few times I've recorded comedy sets was for my own analysis after the show.

That’s how I feel. I’m genuine surprised how sad I’ve been at this passing. I don’t get it, I don’t know him, never met him etc. I’ve examined this non stop for this last month and my only conclusion is that Norm was so alive his passing it’s just the most brutal reminder of our own mortality and how transient it all is. The laughs will last forever but he’s gone, and my crude brain is struggling to reconcile this.

@@sc2starkey I can't remember what night I was at now. I'll have to find the ticket somewhere. I got all the way to the parking lot almost, then remembered I didn't bring my tickets. I was in a rush to get out the door, finally got my sister in law to watch my kid. First time we got to go out by ourselves in literally Years. I was worried they wouldn't let me in late, but I still turned around and raced back home. Luckily I didn't live very far, La Habra. I came straight back and I guess I was wrong, they still let us in. Thank God there was some other guy opening for Norm. I forgot who now. I was over 20 minutes late, but still didn't miss Norm. Had a pretty good meal and watched the best show. I was in the back though, I wish I had recorded just the audio anyway, it was too far back for video.

Depending on what is in Nothing Special, I would say the 2018 and 2019 live crowd sets will compliment what he ended up recording for posterity. It's great that everyone who recorded these sets kept them and didn't stick them out before Norm recorded anything.
