I have a small clear zippered bag that I call my office. It has the pens and pencil and eraser, a small (3x3) post-it pad, a stapler and staple puller, an assortment of paper clips, a white-out, and a small scotch tape. Surprising how frequently I use one of these items.

I’ve watched a lot of edc videos and the carabiner with the hair ties is the best idea I’ve seen in a long time! I’ll definitely be adding that to my edc :) I also carry a packet of baby wipes (even though my son is 6) they’re the duct tape of tissues, nothing they can’t handle! Thanks for sharing.

I would carry pepper spray and a multi tool. That would be all I can think of. You pretty much nailed a solid EDC bag. Also, What about in your car? I want to see what you keep in there to make sure you’re never stranded.

I do have more "tools" in my truck. And I usually have a multi tool pretty close. I have kinda "funny" opinions on self defense and such so pepper spray has never really made it into my personal rotation. However...GREAT option to have for sure!

I've thought about that lots. The tourniquets I use in the field are crazy expensive, so I haven't picked one up yet. But I also know how to make legit tourniquets out of stuff I always have with me. So I have kinda...not gotten around to adding it yet.

Very nice EDC. Good to know I'm not the only one with a larger-than-pocket-sized everyday carry. You keep calling that bag a backpack (two-strap), when it's a sling (single strap). Slings are the best EDC, because they can be carried at the side, over the shoulder, or slung in front for quick access.

I also have a EDC kit even if I'm a artist and a avid illustrator. Similar to what you have but in a creative approach. like making paper pouches (enforcing them by using duct tape to stop the moisture soaking into the paper). I also make my basic first aid using construction paper (for a smaller pouches) and a container or red pencil pouch. I also carry a sniper veil (in england scrim net) for utility cloth but using it as a beach towel. Then for a backpack of choice I have REI trail 25 unisex backpack (in black) for simplicity and adaptability. I can use it for hiking, rucking, and for any activities.

Watch out with your schrade pen, I had mine taken by tsa going through their check point. I guess it depends on the screener, I told him it was just a pen but he said it was a metal pen that could be used to hurt someone, so rather than telling him all the things within a foot of where I was stand that I could also use to inflict injury I cut my losses and "surrendered" my pen.

Great video, are you aware of the hidden pocket in the front of the bag ? Its closed by velcro you just pull it open, its meant for concealed carry but can be used for anything.

At the time it was a Kindle. Now I switch between a kindle and an iPad. But usually I have a laptop now. (Which I didn’t really have at the time ) kindle fire is super cheep. But if you can afford it. I’d go iPad for sure. More reliable and easy to use. Thanks for the encouragement

Yes...I think an edc is pretty personal based on what you may encounter. and yes it's a barrage I believe. It's about ten years old. I love that knife. I'm a big benchmade fan.

What do you have a Bible in your EDC bag are you priest?

Not a priest... Just an ordinary Christian. (although I guess you could say yes... Priesthood of all believers) I find it helpful to have around. Since it's mine I'm very familiar with it, where verses are and notes I've taken. This helps in conversations I get in or even if I have some spare time I can study.
