Many good comments here for you. Grief is a hard thing and it takes time to heal from it but it is always there with you. I am no stranger to grief It has been 10 years since my wife died and all of my parent are gone now. But when I feel the pain from it I know that I have been loved.

Your soothing narration ... your beautiful photography ... your articulate way of expressing your inner contemplative thoughts ... all these combine to make watching your videos feel like drinking a tall glass of cold water on a hot day. I am enjoying catching up on all your older videos. 💕

I'm beginning van life at 61. Recently retired from military after 38 years of service. Please don't ever question what your doing. You totally have it right. Continue living your best life now. Your on an amazing journey. Enjoy it! Remember your father has left this world, but not you. He's always with you! Feel the energy ✨

I lost my father a few years ago, and those days when I feel consumed by grief are hard to bear ... and come suddenly without warning ... but they are cathartic in some way and symptomatic of how much he meant to me. Missing is a part of loving.💕

So wise beyond your years talking about energetic currency and how nothing felt is good or bad unless we make it so. I couldn’t conceive of that 20 years ago at your age. Old soul you are. 🙏🏽☀️

I totally understand the "unexpected wave of grief" that comes upon those of us, who have lost loved ones, especially parents. It happens to me often, and I have finally learned to embrace it and enjoy the flood of loving memories. (I understand that this might not be the same for everyone). I appreciate your comment about how emotions aren't bad; they just are emotion. Thanks for sharing that part of your journey.

You're not the only one realising about distraction and all that, but you express it so beautifully. I'm old enough to be your mother, and as a child we had no internet, we built forts in the bush, rode our bicycles to catch up at the beach, so many others, but I love how vanlifers are kind of bringing that outdoor, exploratory vibe back. I know I miss it, and one day, hopefully fairly soon, I will embark on a voyage of discovery myself. Enjoy this time you have now, you're young, free, clearly intelligent and thoughtful. Embrace it, wallow in it, and absolutely make the most of it. You're making memories that will last you a lifetime x

That drone shot … pulling back from the waves, flying over you two, back to the van, with the truck going by, and then up a little. Wow. Just another nugget of gold. As a beginner pilot, I’m in awe and trying to figure out how you did that. It was as powerful as the written words that accompanied it. You set the bar high. Don’t set it too high to appease misplaced guilt. There is no way you are wasting your time. Making art as beautiful as that video is never a waste of time. And people need art like that rn, they hunger for it. Perhaps like you, I am a little disappointed that your subscriber base isn’t 70k or 700k, if you assume quality is the currency that purchases popularity. But investments like this take time to mature, and based on the quality of your videos, it’s probably only a matter of (more) time before yours do. I stuck the ‘probably’ in there only because some of the most popular things on KZbin are the trashiest. Lol.
@annauncharted2 жыл бұрын
thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts-I resonate a lot with things you’ve said and also greatly appreciate your kindness :) I still very much consider myself a novice at flying a drone. I have a little mini one and mostly I just try to have fun and enjoy experimenting. The majority of my “good/great/better” shots are purely by accident and not planned out to a “T” if you know what I mean. :)

I love the line "time is the only real & true currency in life...". It kind of reminds me of the time when me and my coworkers were talking about working overtime. I always thought it wasn't wise to work overtime, as you are only hurting yourself, others looked at it only for the money value. Yes it will help you get that shiny new MacBook pro, or pay off a debt, but extra time to do things you love or extra time to be with people you love is more valuable to me.

Don't get stuck in any one chapter or in anyone else's chapter. Your dad is still all around you. You are your dad. As above so below. Hermetic principles... All is mind. So don't mind just be. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Fear will only lie to you and tell you something different.

I have lived fulltime in a Mercedes Sprinter for 3 1/2 years. It was a relatively happy existence. I would visit each of my three sons, my two remaining granddaughters, having lost a little one to medical misadventure four yrs ago. I lost one of my sons 4 months ago. Prior to his death, he had had a long physical rehab after an unexpected collapse at home, where he lay for approx 4 days. He had tissue/muscle loss, large blood clots on the side he had lain on and needed to go through kidney dialysis and blood transfusions, many scans and tests. He had to learn how to walk again. Two yrs ago he had to have two operations and needed to learn to walk again after a hit and run. He was diagnosed with PTSD after this horrific accident. He also went through a relationship breakup during this time after finding his partner with someone else. Then just two months after spinal fusion, he was killed in another accident. My life has definitely changed. I still cannot believe this has happened. He had been through so much over the years. Stomach cancer also, some yrs prior, which meant he never again was able to eat normally, or enjoy food as he had. Then everything else that followed. Life can be so unfair to the most beautiful people. He was so caring, sensitive, thoughtful. He was planning a special Mothers Day for me, but that wasn't to be. He passed 3 days before. So proud of my young man. It hurts so much that there will be no more bear hugs, no more WhatsApp, phone calls. My heart just aches. I wish you well on those days that are so so hard. I understand totally. Take care there. 👋🌹🦋🚐🌏

You are living your life and being a positive influence to so many people.. I love how you live inside out and share your feelings. I too lost my future husband to covid 19 2020 so I feel you.
