Lovely car! The amount of service that had to be done on this car demonstrates to reason why cars that are not driven deteriorate for lack of use. I owned a 1990 white Testa and put almost 30k miles on it without a single issue and original clutch, they are as bullet proof as a Chevy, they are essentially a BBi that went to charm school and are great long distance GTs with plenty of luggage room. A bargain today. My only regret is having sold it !

While I loved that car as kid from Miami Vice I had a white Lamborghini Countach poster as kid. I’m 48. Ironically as a kid you never saw a car like this in person. Now they are everywhere

1) this is your best thumbnail to date! 🙂 2) *LOVE* the POV view for driving. Please keep doing that -- this car was the perfect choice to help us experience "driving" it with you, but would still enjoy it with others.

Your POV video reminds me of Test Drive from the 80's. I'm just finished saving a 78 Corvette Silver Anniversary car from a collection that the owner died. Car has sat on driving in about 5 plus years. Thankfully it was preserved in a warehouse with his other cars. 11,000 original miles. I've put 342 miles on getting it sorted and taking it to shows. Another great example of a Testarossa like Richards. All the best to the NGSC team.

Yes!! I was thinking about Test Drive the entire time in the POV portion. Funny how the stuff we do and see as a kid sticks with us forever, and makes any car from that game even more special to us.

Dan, you needed a Sonny Crockett / Miami Vice outfit for this review! White jacket, white pants, pink t-shirt... His Testarossa was white, but still... Also, the poster car on my bedroom wall during my childhood was a Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole. 1988, I think...

I have had such a high regard for Ferrari that I had MY testarossa poster framed when I was in college 😊. I still have it, along with one the F1 flags. Yes, lambo made a Miura which started the supercar era, but in my mind, it was the testarossa and Countach that brought the rivalry between these brands to the mainstream. Leonardo Fioravanti is my favorite automobile designer. He penned this car, and several others for Ferrari, while working at pininfarina. No other car can ever be confused with testarossa trio. I hope you guys have an opportunity in the future to acquire and test a 512TR, the second generation of this car. Just this review alone will likely increase your number of subscribers 😊. The car is an icon.

@@normalguysupercar I am sorry dan I watch a lot of youtube so I can't recall. He is one of those solo youtubers that goes around prowling dealerships and auctions running his mouth off about how people are stupid for paying over sticker for regular cars, how run of the mill cars are too damn expensive, how car dealerships are going to get their just deserts now the covid pandemic games are coming to an end, and how there is going to be a repo apocalypse that is going to flood the auctions since so many people are underwater on their cars. By the way do people pay over retail at auction because there are all those websites that allow non dealers to bid at dealer auction? I thought dealers were just desperate for inventory so they could charge 25% apr to dreamers with roach credit wash rinse repeat.

@@CoolHand273 there's a lot of cars we see go over retail. I have no idea how those dealerships are surviving.

Pulled the engine and didnt do the belts? Thats a 5 year factory due item....7 years if its started regularly otherwise the belts develop micro cracks from sitting in one spot. I had a 90 and 91 over the years. Great cars if you address the fuse box and diff.

Belts are all synthetic now usually with steel reinforcement or kevlar . They don't dry out and crack like belts from 38 years ago.

@@philipparana9225 Main point is, the engine was out. Belts are like $105 and its one of the first things a buyer is going to ask IE "When was the last belt service done?"

Perfect. But "Monospecchio" (single high mirror): have to sound like "monospekkio". And single bolt instead is "Monodado". Monodado version usually fits the TRX Michelin, hard to find and not cheap, and probably this is the reason for the aftermarket wheels, probably in inches and not millimetric like the TRX. Differential and starter motor on these cars are WEAK.Lifting only onenside of the car could.cause the back glass to break. Beware.
