Damn, he's playing the entire song with his rhythm hand strumming non-stop, even during the solos. Now that's Soul!

Saw this when it aired. Was so blown away by NB that I recorded the rest of the show on VHS. Inspires me as a guitarist, smooth and poignant with soulful accuracy.

Back in May 2010, surprise, surprise..my lady landed 2 tickets for she and I at the DuSable to see NB. She scored major points as I had no clue he was blessing Chi at the time. Great set, ambiance, company and evening! NB was my sidekick back in the early 90's as I played ATS incessantly in the car for I was a sales rep logging major miles. Long live the gift of jazz music and its ability to speak without ever uttering a word!

Norman Brown is a serious bad ass. He's in my top 5. Right up their with my all time favorite, Benson. I would love to see Norman and Benny duel it out for fun. That's That'd be awesome. Norman should be call George Jr. since he knows a good amount of those kick ass Benson licks. No lie. George and Norman aren't freakin' human, LoL.

Unfreakin' believable! Definitely a lot faster but in the groove! Got to see him here on Guam at the Hilton Hotel.....my band was gigging' at the hotel tree bar and on our break snuk in to the backstage ballroom (on stage) during his show.....I could hear the music behind a side curtain.....and there he was jammin' just 5 or 6 feet from me!! He turn right back and looked at me and smiled and kept ripping'! What an experience ! His band was awesome as well!! Totally awesome player!!
